Can Folliculitis on the scalp cause hair thin?

no it doesn't cause the hair to thin...all you need is some antifungal cream or yeast infection medicine...don't touch the bumps or squeeze them..wash your hair with hot water and use nizoral shampoo and conditioner once a week to prevent from getting this condition

Can Folliculitis on the scalp cause hair thin?

only a head and shoulder type deal..keep your hair as short as you can stand it some creams work well like a hydrocortizone 2 percent....but your going to have to figure a way of diluting it so to work into your scalp...dont rinse it off. and another one..

How can i make my thick hair thinner without those razor cuts or thining out scissors at home?

I think you would have to go get your hair cut. It should only cost about $30. They'll just give you a cute cut and thin your hair a little by cutting it. It's worth it!

How can i make my thick hair thinner without those razor cuts or thining out scissors at home?

try adding a few layers to your hair to give it a thinner appearance and to frame your face.

How can i make my thick hair thinner without those razor cuts or thining out scissors at home?

try layers. they look very cute, and appears to make your hair a little thinner!

How can i make my thick hair thinner without those razor cuts or thining out scissors at home?

Layers will tame overly thick hair and make it more manageable

How can i make my thick hair thinner without those razor cuts or thining out scissors at home?

around september i got a haircut and i thinned my my hair (scissors). uhh dont try it. my haircutter thinned it too much and i had but wisps of hair on the ends...i was devastated. where was my long thick hair?? im never doing it again. thick hair is the best. now i regret ever wanting it thin. now im losing hair at the same time in clumps every time i take my scrunchy out--gross huh? im desperately waiting for it to grow out a bit and certainly get thicker hopefully.

oh yes and dont listen to the people who tell you to get layers on thick hair...it only makes your hair poofier from the top and thins the ends. if you want layers get long layers like at the very bottom.

and trust me dont thin it out you WILL regret it!!!

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

You need a good dermotologist and a great hairdresseer, you may need to go natural for awhile. with a great hairdresser and a dermotologist your hair should grow back. olive oil works wonders on damaged hair, you may want to start with that and eating better...more fruits vegatables and water...

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

Take some vitamin supplements. Fish Oil is all natural and works great on your hair! make sure you get a good brand though that's filtered so it's pure fish oil. Like Eskimo 3 Fish Oil, not only will it help your hair but it also helps your brain so you can think and focus better. Pretty neat huh.. They have other all natural supplements you can take for your hair too.. you can look here http://www.folica.com/Vitamins_133_1.htm... or search for other sites on google. Also make sure you deep condition your hair, atleast once a week.

Here are some home-made recipes for deep-conditioners you can do at home:

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

I had the same problem. I've had a perm for years and my hair was breaking off. The only thing that you can do is grow out your perm. I've grown out my perm for a few years now and my hair is now growing and its healthy.

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

This depends. Are you trying to go natural now or would you like to keep relaxing? Either way, the first thing you must do is find a competent and caring stylist who is knowledgeable about hair and can help with whatever hair goals you have. This is much easier said than done, depending on what area of the country you live in.

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

Take good care of it and wait it out. It takes months, even a year or so to grow it out completely. It doesnt matter that you damaged it for so long because it always grows.

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

I AM A HAIR CARE STYLIST AND IF I WERE U I WOULD GO NATURAL FOR A YEAR TO LET THE RELAXER A DAMAGE GROW OUT

How do u regrow damaged and thinned hair that has been relaxed for 12 years?

My hair was thinned and damaged by relaxer once and I tried a swiss protein pack..It worked well, my hair really improved. 12 years is way too long so I don't know if it can work out with your hair but it's worth a try. You may consider stopping to retouch letting the growth thicken and cutting off the relaxed hair to start off a new (it worked for my sis)!

Are the Nioxin products good for damaged fine thin hair?

I read somewhere that they could cause it further breakage. Has anyone ever used them and how did they do?

Are the Nioxin products good for damaged fine thin hair?

you have to try for yourself, do not take other people experience because it may not work for them but works fine for you, our body chemistry reacts differently. I know many people that have great results with nioxin and others that don't.

thanks for ur help in advance,

appropriate answers plz!

Nioxin hair products?any change since u using?

I have been selling Nioxin for 5 years now, and the main problem that people have, is sales people who promise customers a drastic change in hair loss. The truth is, as a species, we are losing the hair on our heads slowly, just like we lost the hair on the rest of our bodies. There isn't much we can do about it over the long-term, other than keep the hair we have! :) Diet, environment, hair products, stress, hormones, illness, medications, and genetics ALL play a role in how much hair you lose. I'd have to say, by far, genetics has the most impact on how much hair loss an individual will experience. In many cases, there aren't any options for hair loss that do not require surgery.

Nioxin approaches hair care on a long-term level, with the idea that since your scalp is the source of the hair, taking care of your scalp will make the most of they hair you still have growing. Your scalp is like a garden. In order to have a healthy thriving plants (or in this case, hair! :D) you have to make sure that your garden is clean and well watered, with lots of food! Thats what the Nioxin 3-Step system is designed to do; help you keep the hair that is falling out, or simply not growing any longer because of ENVIRONMENTAL factors.

The Cleanser is designed to remove damaging chemicals, excess medication, dirt, polution, excess sebum, and dead skin cells, that can prevent hair from growing, without drying your hair, or stripping it of the natural healthy oils. This is like weeding your garden. Make sure to leave this on your scalp for one full minute before rinsing.

The Scalp Therapy is designed to put back clean moisture to your scalp to keep it hydrated and comfortable, without flakiness or oiliness. This is like watering your garden. Again, make sure to leave on for one full minute before rinsing. If you find that your hair is too oily even with the appropriate types of products, the great thing about this line is that you can use the moisturizer before you use the cleanser. :)

The Scalp Treatment is formulated to stimulate blood flow to your scalp (hence the tingly rosey sensation), and bring nutrients from INSIDE your body up to your scalp. This is like fertilizing your garden. This is also why I believe that taking the vitamins one hour before you use your Scalp Treatment while the vitamin concentration in your blood is highest maximizes the amount of nutrients that your scalp receives.

By also using Nioxin styling products in place of other products, you make sure that nothing else undermines the 3-Step process with poor-quality ingredients that could make your problem worse, plus most of the products are designed to help your hair look fuller. :D

Nioxin is designed to work over time. The results you see will be congruent with how quickly you hair grows. If you see a positive change in how quickly your hair is falling out, then CONGRATULATIONS! :) Keep using it. You will keep seeing results.

Finally, make sure that you speak with someone who is knowledgable about Nioxin, and can suggest the correct products to you. You should be using a system with a number (1-8), and they should be asking you three specific questions to make sure that you get the right "diagnosis". If you aren't sure, I recommend going to the Nioxin website. :D Good Luck!

Nioxin hair products?any change since u using?

quite a while back i used it for about 6 months....never saw a difference....liked the product thou

Nioxin hair products?any change since u using?

i've been using nioxin (bionutrient actives/system #5) for 2 years now and my hair doesn't fall as much as it used too. people also comment how healthy my hair looks. i've recommended nioxin to all my relatives both male and female with thinning hair and they also noticed an improvement. maybe you're not using the right one for your hair type.

If you make you're hair thinner, how long would it take to grow back thick?

How long would it take to grow back thick?

If you make you're hair thinner, how long would it take to grow back thick?

It can ruin your hair if you get it thinned. I would never recomend it. I have thick hair and everyone loves it. Just get used to it and you will be fine.

Does razoring a really thick hair makes it thinner.?

okay my hair is wavy like it falls down covering half of my back, and well i want to cut it b/c to much dead hair and split hair. i want to know if you razor your hair (professonially of course) does it make it thinner. i wan to cut my hair shoulder level and like a longer kinda of bob . my mum says if i razor it and i have thick hair, it will poof it more.

i want o cut my hair like this, from thick to this

http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5mnaURRGUB...

Does razoring a really thick hair makes it thinner.?

razoring tapers the ENDS of the hair . It should be done by someone with experience, and I don't care what any other stylists say, it should NEVER be done dry. I have had my hair, and fixed others hair that was done this way because it damages the cuticle (outer coating) of the hair and causes it to be frizzy and unmanageable. With your texture, you will probably get more volume with razoring and because its hard to find someone GOOD to do it, I wouldn't recommend it. If you want to loose some weight off the hair and get rid of some dead ends, have just the underneath thinned just a BIT with thinning shears . Plan on having to flat iron or curl your hair because this will make it lighter and give it more volume as well but is less damaging than razoring. If you want you could also do long layers. Good luck

Does razoring a really thick hair makes it thinner.?

Go to a hairdresser with that photo in your hand. Ask them how to do it, if it can be done and how much it'll cost. Most of the time the consultation is free, or you get the fee back when you get your hair done. I would have to see your hair, but I think the right hairdresser can do ANYTHING you want.

Best of luck hon, that style of Nicole's is gorgeous and I hope you can get it!

Does razoring a really thick hair makes it thinner.?

That style is awesome for Nicole, you have to take into account how much time you are willing to spend on straightening your hair to look like that.

You can remove bulk (thin) hair with a razor, but with curly hair, I don't recommend it. Layering it will make it look less thick though. Otherwise your stylist should be able to thin it using texturizing (taper) sheers. Make sure any consultation you do with your stylist is thorough and she knows or has a very good idea of what you are looking to achieve. A good stylist will always take into account your facial shape, lifestyle and the amount of time you have or are willing to spend on your hair. Remember..hair grows and there is nothing that can't be fixed!

Does razoring a really thick hair makes it thinner.?

Honey, keep dreaming. I am a stylist and if you have thick hair there is only so much we can do to thin it. Razoring can help but not that much and only if the stylist razoring your hair know the correct technique.

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

how long is your hair? a short sassy cut and a volumizing shampoo and conditioner could work. try Aussie brand products. hope this helps.

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

Use both thickner shampoo and conditioner. The add root spray and mouse. Dry hair upside down. When you go to bed at night put all your hair up on the top of your head in a pony tail and spray it with a little salt water. In the morning your hair will appear thicker. Once a week, use Neutrogena clarifying shampoo to remove any residue build up from styling products.

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

"Add some Roo to your 'Do'" Haha. Love that. There's so many things you can do. I have been recommended Vichy Shampoo. It's great, same with the conditioner. Now, alternate between blow drying your hair and letting it dry on its own. It's not always good to blow dry it every single time. After you do that, add some mousse. Fructis Mousse is really good, for extreme volume. Just make sure you don't use it every time, or it will dry your hair, which will be another problem.

Hope this helped =)

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

use large curling iron ,brush hair forward with head tilted down ,lift head up and fluff with fingers and spray.Don't use any hair products but a good hairspray because it will weigh your hair down

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

Try "Voluptuous Volume" from "got2b." It's the best...

It's shampoo that has the texture of styling moose, but it doesn't have sticky residue or anything, so don't worry. If you're going to use conditioner, condition your hair First. That way the shampoo won't dry your hair out, and it will still be soft and silky when it dries. Also, if you condition your hair after you shampoo, it will weight your hair down regardless of what volume products you use. You can also use a diffuser on low or medium on your roots. Good Luck!

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

try products with hemp in it there sort of expensive but they work blow dry always

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

Use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Put a volumizing mousse on damp hair, flip your head over, and then blow-dry. Blow-drying your hair while your head is flipped over will add more volume to your hair.

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

use mouse at the roots and blow dry it if you were it straight. If you style it that put mouse all over and blow dry it upside down and than style it.

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

you can blowdry your hair upside down or you can use volumizing shampoo and conditioner and a root boost or a thickening cream

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

Try useing a root volumiser, and then when you are blowdrying, do so it the opposite directoin that you want your hair to fall..

How do I add volume to limp, thin hair?

First, only condition from the middle of your hair to your tips, conditioning your roots will only flatten your hair. Also try Big Sexy Hair mouse, it's for your roots to add volume, just spray it on your roots before drying.

What can I do to make my thin hair stronger and more lively looking?

Well to make it stronger you can put silicone ( HAIR PRODUCT) and then to make it look livlier you can change your path of you hair i.e if your path runs from left to right, flip it over right to left, you will see that your hair will look thicker and have more life to it.

If you dont have a path, then I dont know, sorry

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

just blow dry your hair in the cool setting with your head upside down. it'll dry slower, giving you more volume. then use some mousse. oh, yeah. the shampoo you should use is any full and thick shampoo like Pantene. also, lighter shades of hair color look thinner than dark ones. you could also try curling your hair, or teasing it.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Not brushing it makes it look fuller - that's what i do cause mine is way thin and curly. So i get away with it.

The new one from pantene for thin hair. It's called full %26amp; thick.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

About any good volumizing shampoo probably.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

I have really fine and limp hair, and believe me, there is no shampoo that really works, but you can try the nexus brand... on the other hand, Avon has a product called "mega volume spray" the price is only 5.oo and right now they have a sale that if you buy a product, they give you a brush free... hope this works for you as well as it does for me! I really love this spray!

PS- if you get it, rub you scalp with it to get the most effect.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Magic shampoo....

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Suave makes a Thick and Full shampoo and conditioner that really works... i already had thick hair and thin strands, but when i used it, my hair seemed to be "heavier" and much thicker.... Its the cheap and effective alternative.... Mane and Tail does just as good....but more expensive... but it's worked for me

Hope that helps you out!

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Garnier Fructis Volume Shampoo, Conditioner and gel is very good

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Well, this isn't a shampoo, but it still makes your hair look fuller. If you blow-dry it upside-down.... I have thin, fine hair and it works for me. Although sometimes it makes my hair frizzy, so I use Thermasilk's Light %26amp; Smooth leave-in cream. Hope this helps!

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

pantene; or kenra... you have to test them for yourself.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

You should try Biolage energizing shampoo. It works well for thin fine hair! Also blow dry it upside down and don't brush it use your hands to style. Another trick is to make sure your scalp is completly dry after shampooing before you style it. You can also try big rollers on the top to add extra volume! Good Luck!

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Cream of Nature shampoo and conditioner work the best for me, you should try it too.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

i have very thin hair and i started using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. make sure you get the one for your hait type. if you chemically treat your hair, then get the one for the chemically treated hair. if you don't do anything to yor hair, then use the one for normal hair. believe me, the stuff works. it's a little expensive, but it really does work and it smells like mint. this stuff is made for people with thinning hair in the early stages. good luck.

Volumnizing shampoo or conditioner do not work the suck the moisture out of your hair to puff it up and then your hair ends up breaking from lack of moisture. Try a root boost professional is always better for your hair plus any salon product is 100% gaurenteed so if you don't like it take it back.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

different people have different preferences and results vary. You should try a volumizing shampoo (any brand) and see if that works for you. If not, next time try another one. That is how you can figure out which one works for you. And as someone already said, blowdrying your hair upside down does work too, but do only for 5 minutes or so just to give your hair a boost

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

Aveda Pure Abundance. It has clay proteins that add volume w/o adding any buildup. There's also a conditioner and styling products.

What kind of shampoo will make your hair look fuller if you have thin hair?

OK this ones easy if your hair is long and thin, then cutting it shorter will make it look fuller (sorry long hair enthusiast) the shorter it is the fuller it looks. Now if your not willing to part with your thin locks the only viable solution is for a body wave or perm. There are no real solutions in the shampoo department. But don't believe me waste your money on those products :))

I have the same problem (well not really I have split ends and I pick at them every day) I use pantene, use it every day. It does really work. i like those two pictures...those hairstyles are adorable! well you obviously have good taste, and that's a start. i suggest you get a slightly layered cut and use "dangerously straight" shampoo or another straightening shampoo. then straighten it with a straightener after using that. if that doesn't work than i'd look into getting it proffessionally straightened. also, "bed-head" anti-frizz and styling spray products work very well.

good luck with this and i hope this helps! :-)

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

You are definitely looking at layered cuts. It would work for your hair bythinning it out and getting out a lot of the unmanageable fizz, but without a blow dryer it would not stay straight.

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

The second one has ADORABLE hair!!! =] Take that picture to your hairstylist and tell her you want it like that. My hair is thick also... Use a good shampoo and conditioner and Neutrogena Frizz Control or Aussie. IT WORKS WONDERS! My hair gets so flat (which is good when you have poof) and straight and looks great! Also you could ask your hairstylist to thin it out, that's what I did. =]]]

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

go to a salon and they have some special oil that will make ur hair stay straight and shiny

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

well, your defintely talking about a few hundreds of dollars going to the salon because they need to probally thin your hair out because its wavy %26amp; they would probally give you a layered look %26amp; they have some shine spray you could buy to make it look shiny %26amp; beautiful! of course thats what I use. I have naturally straight hair, but since i got it layered shouldner length its got some waves on the bottom. but, yeah its gonna look so cute! have fun :)

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

First of all, you shouldn't get jealous of other girls, they might be jealous of what you have but don't notice.

I totally understand how you're feeling, you're insecure about your hair lol.

but if your hair is poofy and thick, heres some tips:

STRAIGHTENING:

-wash hair with shampoo/conditioner. Always use conditioner so your hairstyle stays good.

-pat hair dry with towel but leave hair still wet.

-blow dry hair until every strand of hair is completely dry

-divide hair into sections, start flat ironing.

-apply Tresemme non-frizz hair product you can get at drugstores for 4 dollars.

the key to control those nasty flyaways and poffiness is a non-frizz hair product.

use this product:

http://tresemme.com/sleek/products/no-fr...

i've been using it for three months now and wheneve ri straighten my hair, i use this spray and it totally works! But also remember that conditioner is important too

How do I make my hair beautiful? Serious - pleaase answer?

Get a perm, hair weave, have it colored to even color or just be happy and make the best of it like it is. Do you blow dry? Is your hair damaged? There could be a lot of reasons that your hair is unmanageable, whatever, you will have to experiment with different products. Try using conditioners that tame frizz, invest in some "flat irons" to straighten, and a light application of holding spray to keep it in place. Nexus and Nioxin make good products. Nioxin can be bought at JC Penney. Would be best to just get it done professionally, that way it's done right, and you won't have to worry about it and the links you gave, those models had professional hair stylists.

How long does a body wave on thin hair last?

Days? Weeks? Months?

How long does a body wave on thin hair last?

Well there is a difference between Thin hair and Fine hair....thin means you don't have a lot of hair and you can see your scalp in spots....fine means you have a normal head of hair but the actual hair itself if very fine...not coarse....

Well...I have fine hair and have been getting perms for about 19 years....I started off only getting them once a year (about every nine months....now that I'm older I get them 2 times a year (first of November so I look good for the holidays and first of May so I look good all summer) It works out to be 6 months. Also my hair is long with long layers so I don't need many perms....if you have short hair you will need to get perms more often to keep up with the shorter styles. And by the way, in my opinion, my hair takes better perms and last longer that people with thick hair. But, everyone is different, so it's up to you to take the leap and see how it works for you. I will never go back to the fine straight hair....it just doesn't work well for me...so flat, no life....a lot of people wouldn't even think that I ever had straight hair....

How long does a body wave on thin hair last?

not very long if your hair is in layers probably a little longer i woulldnt recommend it

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

Ok so i have extremely thin hair and not much of it, does anyone know how i can grow more [hehe] or at least thicken it?

will thickening help it of damage it more?

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

The thickness of your hair is determined by the density of hair follicles over a sample area.

You can only increase the number of hair follicles on your head by surgery such as hair transplants, or the chemicals designed for restoration in people with heriditary baldness.

Do NOT consider either of these, they are usually for people who are bald/going bald/or have follicular problems, not for simply improving hair's appearance.

You CAN however, make your hair APPEAR to be thicker, and make it stronger without actually affecting the number of follicules or the hair's natural growth etc.

There are SOOOO many products to increase volume such as leave in conditioners, shampoos, rinse-out conditioners, mousses, gels, spritzes, etc.

These will help with thickness related problems.

To make your hair stronger, you'll need products with protein in them.

As I said above, shampoos, conditioners, gels, spritzes, mousses, masks, etc, all can have protein in them, just look for a product that says so on the package.

One fairly simple thing to try is blowdrying your hair upside down, and another thing is to get your hair cut in a layered style to simulate a more volumous look. (Ask your hairdresser for this).

One more thing.

Cutting hair does not cause it to grow back thicker, that is a myth.

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

the best way i found to make my hair look thicker is to have it cut at least once a month because the more times you cut your hair the thicker it will grow back

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

My mother had the same problem, and she started using these products, 'My Crown and Glory' shampoo and conditioner:

http://www.yourcrownandglory.com/?ycag=t...

She has noticed a marked difference in the thickness of her hair, and has noticed that she doesn't lose hair anymore. These products are made from natural ingredients, and botanicals, and are suitable for people who are sensitive to perfumes, etc.

I hope this helps . . .

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

Try taking hair vitamins. Hair can fall out for a number of reasons and hair vitamin's can help your hair thicken up. Make sure that your hair is getting a deep conditioner as well to keep it healthy. For more hair tips visit this site.

My hair needs HeLp!!!?

Try Nioxin shampoo and conditioner. But the thing is.... Is your hair fine (small trands) or thin (meaning it's dense...few hairs per square inch). Sometimes , based upon genetics, you might no have a choice but to have thin hair, so you might be able to really thicken as much as you would like to. The only other options is to wear extensions.

Is it important that a girl of thirty has thin hair I mean not much hair?

No.

Not that important to me.

What are the best products for fine/thin hair?

I bought Diametress, Headdress, and Exxtra Gel and have noticed an immediate difference. I seem to remember from my college days when I tried all the salon brands that Nexxus was the best. What do you think?

What are the best products for fine/thin hair?

I personnaly do not care much for Nexxus, but if it is working for you, great! My favorite styling product for thin hair is thickening lotion by Redken. It comes out almost like a gel, but it swells your hair cuticle and makes it look thicker. It works great before blow drying, or even alone. I like the Lemon Sage thickening shampoo and conditioner from Paul Mitchell. That has done a lot for my otherwise flat hair!

I HAVE FOUND THAT MATRIX HAIR PRODUCTS ARE THE BEST. IF YOU CANT FIND THAT I WOULD SAY TRY GARNIER NUTRESS, THAT HAS WORKED WONDERS FOR HAIR.

Michael O'Rourke products are FABULOUS. He has a "sexy" line, and his "big sexy hair" line works great on thin hair. He also has a product called "back comb in a bottle" that is great for volume without weight or the hastle of back combing/teasing. A little pricey, but worth every penny.

Will getting my hair thinned out at a salon be damaging to the hair shaft?

Its crazy-thick, and tends to poof, to no avail. But I have heard that razoring or shearing it can cause damage, making you prone to breakage and split ends. Any thoughts?

Will getting my hair thinned out at a salon be damaging to the hair shaft?

no it won't damage your hair anymore than cutting it. but before and after any hair cut you should condition really well to prevent split ends anyway. cutting gets rid of split ends but if the hair is already damage or dry it can make new ones.

Will getting my hair thinned out at a salon be damaging to the hair shaft?

if a new blade is not used and they do not use the correct angle when cutting, split ends and breakage will occur

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

yes...my daughter is a stylist. she informs her clients that come in wearing a hat that it makes the hair thin or even fall out. It doesnt let the pores get enough air and traps the oil on scalp.

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

It will take a long time but yes, eventually your hair will become weak and start to fall out.

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

no no no

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

no

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

Yes it is possible due to the fact that always wearing a hat can suffocate the hair follicle. In most cases, however, this is is not the sole reason for hair loss. Usually there is already an existing condition resulting in hair loss and the wearing of hats tends to increase the rate of loss.

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

thx for asking.....good to know that it is bad to wear hat everyday....

If I wear a hat everyday is it going to make my hair thinner or damage it in any way?

No. Here is explained why: http://www.hairfinder.com/hairquestions/...

I was just prescribed betamethasone (for Diprolene) for my hair loss.?

Has anyone else been prescribed this and how long does it take to show results? I am a 24 y/o female with thick, long hair. The dermatologist said it is temporary hair thinning in the crown of my head due to low iron and mainly stress. (I'm a senior in college, finals coming up, worrying about grad school, etc ...) The hair thinning is stressfull as well. Any info on this medicine would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was just prescribed betamethasone (for Diprolene) for my hair loss.?

I have not used betamethasone before, but doing a quick search yielded this information:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi...

"To use the lotion on your scalp, part your hair, apply a small amount of the medicine on the affected area, and rub it in gently. Protect the area from washing and rubbing until the lotion dries. You may wash your hair as usual but not right after applying the medicine."

It doesn't mention anything about hair loss, so it's probably just due to the stress from school.

I also did some further research on female hair loss and this came up:

http://www.hairlossspecialists.com/forwo...

But I don't think you will necessarily need that. At least I hope not :)

Hope I could help.

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

ok so i got this choppy hair cut that has alot of layers [short at the top] and the bottom its longish [like tails.?] and soo i wan to give it volume to make it look full cuz i have really thin hair but without it dying out the next hour.

any tips or how to's???

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

take a comb and rat it at the base, then take some hair spray and spray it at the base where you ratted it. Then wrap you hair around the can of the hair spray and hold it there for a couple of seconds.

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

Use some light mousse. Turn your head upside down and apply the mousse from the roots while the hair is still damp. It will dry with volume and shine

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

Take a good hair mouse and use about a quarter size ball of it and massage into top roots of hair and on outside peices. Then take a 1in curling iron and clamp it at the top and front roots of your hair(dont bother curling the ends). Then take random sized peices and curl them all the way out with a straightner, after you do that run hands through hair and shake your hair out gently until the hair is voulumized out evenly then spray a light mist of oil sheen on it to give it a finished polished look

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

Put John Freida Volumizing Mousse in your hair, then blow dry your head upside down. Then buy some volumizing hairspray. I use Herbal Essences Body Envy. Spray everywhere that you would like to be volumized. Then blowdry again with your head upside down. Then hairspray all over to keep everything in place for the day. :]

Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

Try a great shampoo for your hair. I use pantene, and I love it! I suggest you try it, unless there is a better shampoo out there for you. Different people have different types of hair, so try asking your friends or family...maybe even your doctor or a hair stylist for a great brand. You should also try different types of shampoo and see which one you like the best!

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

Nioxin Scalp Therapy might help-it is sold in salons.

you can get protein shampoos.

My one friend uses vinegar and it works really well for her. I don't think its a general thing though

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

apply a hot oil treatment to ends only not roots(it'll weigh hair down) every week, and get a trim every 4-6 weeks to give it volume and to prevent dryness.

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

try garnier fructis. my favorite.

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

keep it oiled for the dryness and keep it treated . dont use such harsh products. Look in stores for products on thin hair because what some people use may not be good for others. Or u can try a salon and ask them their advice on ur thin hair. I cant tell u what particular product to use for the thinness because i cant see ur hair. Good Luck!!

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

you should oil it for the dryness and if its thin you should use Nixon shampoo treatment my friend had thin hair and when she used it it got thicker.

I have a very dry and thin hair? any help for me?

pantene pro v works really good it is what i use and i already notice my hair is thicker

What hair prooduct makes ur hair thinner or straighter???

straighter - if you have thick, coarse hair .. you might want to consider a perm.

thinner- you might want to consider getting your hair cut w/ thinning shears.

What hair prooduct makes ur hair thinner or straighter???

You can try to use a volumizing shampoo 4 thicker hair, or for thinner hair u can get ur hair cut in "Layers."

What hair prooduct makes ur hair thinner or straighter???

dont no

What hair prooduct makes ur hair thinner or straighter???

I use a straightening cream from Garnier, then a straightener. Plus I had some layers put in my hair to thin it out some. :)

What hair prooduct makes ur hair thinner or straighter???

I wouldn't suggest trying to thin the hair, the thinner the hair, the weaker it is, so be happy it's thick. There are different techniques hairstylists can use to cut down on the weight of the hair - such as thinning shears - which cut in such away to bring the volume of hair down.

For straighter hair, there's always the good old flat iron - but that can be damaging to the hair. If you decide to use a flat iron, just make sure you keep your hair well conditioned.

How do I fix my short thin hair for school? Help!?

Well, I don't know how short it is, but if it's really short, put some hair gel or styling gunk in it and spike it. If you don't want to go that way, just scrunch it as you dry it and then you have the bed-head look. Maybe use one of the cute elastic bands and that looks cute too. Some days, push it behind your ears and wear big hoop earrings. It's hard to give advice without knowing how long your hair is, and if it's curly or straight. Just play around with it and experiment.. You'll come up with a cute style!!!

How do I fix my short thin hair for school? Help!?

Depends on how short it is. You could have a perm which will make it look thicker.

Hair loss!!!!?

Hair loss can have many causes, getting older, having certain diseases such as thyroid problems, taking medications even not eating a healthy diet. Since you are 16 the top possibilities would seem to be diet and thyroid issues.

Take a look at this site for more info.

Hair loss!!!!?

Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Hair loss!!!!?

Applying castor oil regularly may help. Also, application of coconut oil with lime juice frequently may arrest hair loss. There many such suggestions listed on a site called tandurust.com. I have listed the page in the source. May help you get some tips?

Hair loss!!!!?

Our hair is viewed by many humans as our crowning glory, quite literally. We lose, on average, 50-100 strands each day which are replaced by new hair follicles. However, age, genetics or illness can cause this new hair growth to slow and balding patterns can occur.

Although mens hair loss cannot be avoided, you can improve the health of your hair and scalp to delay further loss.

Can you make your hair thinner without having to cut it?

i've got long bangs, and i'm trying to make them thinner, but i SERIOUSLY don't want to cut them...

Can you make your hair thinner without having to cut it?

Thinning shears.Proceed cautiously if you do it yourself.

Can you make your hair thinner without having to cut it?

There are scissors called thinning shears. They cut only some of the hair each time. This thins the hair out. That is the only way to thin hair. Sorry.

Has anyone used toppik to cover thinning hair and is it good?

no i have never used the product you are speaking about.. i have several products that i have purchased but i have never heard of this one... i do not remember even seeing this product in missouri...

Has anyone used toppik to cover thinning hair and is it good?

I just started using it today. It looks pretty good. Not 100% better, but if this was how my hair looked naturally, I wouldn't worry about it. And it's not very expensive. I don't wash my hair every day, and my hair isn't thinning that much, so the can may last me longer. Report It

Can you add heat to synthetic yaky braiding hair?

and can you make the hair thinner?

Can you add heat to synthetic yaky braiding hair?

No if you want to add a little curl to synthetic braids try this(it works-I've done it myself): Wrap hair around either newspaper or a paper bag like rollers and dip your hair in hot water let it dry and you will have a curl! As far as making the hair thin I'm not sure.

Can you add heat to synthetic yaky braiding hair?

No, not without it melting. Just don't add in as much hair if you dont want it as bulky. If you were really, really careful you could smooth it out a bit by blowdrying on low with low heat. This is an aweful lot of work for such cheap hair. Personally I won't work with this stuff.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

My friend is always pulling out her hair -single strands one at a time] [esp. her split ends, by whole strands], and it bugs me sooo much. She also likes to do it becauses it makes her hair thinner. However, it grosses me out %26amp; there must be SOMETHING wrong with it!!!

help me give her solid [hopefully scientific] a reason to stop.

Please.

=]

p.s: don't say she'll get a bald spot or something, cuz she wont. she pulls them out randomly, not from one spot.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

Why would she want to thin her hair as so many women and men get envious of someone with healthy thick head of hair. Some even don't mind thick hair with split ends. She could always have her hair thinned out by the salon esp if bottom heavy with thinning shears etc. for whatever reason. Though if you notice when she starts pulling hair out is it e.g. whenever she is stressed, seem like a compulsion, or she gets some mild pleasure out or it. Unfortunately it seems that unless something bad happens or something out there convinces her to stop she may not stop.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

she needs more things to do....keep her company all the time....warn her about her bad habit and she should stop in the future...

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

Just tell her to get her hair cut. When she gets older she won't have as much hair as reguler people that don't do that=]=]=].

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

I think that you should talk your her about it. There is a disease like that and I cannot remember what it is. Try searching for it in the Internet... you can suggest that she have a haircut instead. If it really bothers you try consulting a doctor or else give her something else to do instead like makeup sessions or doing fun things together.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

This is a bad habit----tell her people will think she is crazy or something if she doesn't stop and that is embarresses you. If she cares what you think, she will stop. She could go to a stylist to get her hair thinned or buy some thinning shears at a beauty supply and do it her self.

Help me find a reason for my friend not to pull out her hair?

its really bad for her

....if she wants her hair thinner tell her to ask a hairdresser next time she gets it cut.

I don't think you'd want to try Nair....a lot of people are allergic to it, or it kind of rips their skin with the hair off. For me, it left a red place with bumps on it.

nair worked for me in certain spots, other spots it left me w bumps .. honestly though it smells like that white relaxer stuff they put in your hair to make it str8

If you've had your hair thinned out, how long is it before it starts to get thick again?

I had my hair thinnned out about 3 weeks ago, and it feels like it's back to its normal thickness again. Is this actually possible, or am i just being paranoid??

If you've had your hair thinned out, how long is it before it starts to get thick again?

hair never stops growing (unless you are dead, but i doubt that)

I think you are just worrying too much

If you've had your hair thinned out, how long is it before it starts to get thick again?

yea i can see see it so much

If you've had your hair thinned out, how long is it before it starts to get thick again?

There are two answers to this:

1, your hair no longer feels thin because you're used to it's new thickness.

2, Hair grows faster when it's cut, so it probably is slightly thicker, but can't possibly be how it was before it was thinned.

If you've had your hair thinned out, how long is it before it starts to get thick again?

if u use a strong shampoo then probably, it is the cause of thining hair. stress could also be the cause of thining hair

Will getting my hair thinned out make it short?

my hair is really thic ive had it layerd and i do straigten it alot the length of my hair is about near my boobs im worried it will make it short.

Will getting my hair thinned out make it short?

It will make layers shorter, but the longest layer shouldn't be altered if you tell them not to.

Will getting my hair thinned out make it short?

It shouldn't, normally the top layer of your hair is the shortest layer, so your hair will just be thinner, not shorter.

Well, I think you should use (that is if you have African-American hair, or relaxed hair) Motions CPR Shampoo, Motions CPR Conditioner, and Motions CPR Anti-Breakage Hair Lotion. Oh, and CPR stands for Critical Protection and Repair.

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

I'm going to get my hair done in 5 days and I don't know what to do with it. I was bleach blonde up until a year ago. I have highlights and a more dirty blonde look. I want to go either lighter or darker. Not sure. And I don't know how to get it styled. I have longer than sholder length thin straight hair. I also have a five head. haha. I don't what kind of hairstyle will look good with my hair. I'm afraid to get bangs because i'm worried it would make me have even less hair all around. also afraid to go short because it seems to make my head look large. Yet this long hair is pulling my down and making evrything flat. What should I do???

When my hair was blonder and shorter

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj249...

What it looks like now

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj249...

I always pull the "bangs" back because they don't hold well to either side and look flat.

Please help. Use picture links if possible

Thank you!

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

well luv i think you have lovely hair on the first pic but like you say it looks flat and a little to far off your face my oppinion i did used to be a hair dresser some years ago mind, but i think you could have some different shades of blonde dont go dark your complection is to pale,i would do a bit shorter than the first pic not to much so it is longer at the back and and have layers in this will give it body and make it look fuller then shaped down the sides of your face,if it is shaped around your face it will slim your face down without draging it down which long hair that is straight down tends to do,like i said the first pic looks nice it just wants some layers to take the flat look away and shaped on to your face, i would have some sort of fringe not straight across but on your forhead more not the same length as the rest of the side i cant rearly explain by just telling you like this but i think you will know what i mean like whisper slantered down i wish i had a pic to send you but then again i dont know how to send them, dont take your fringe straight back like it is

i do hope you know what i mean and you get it sorted

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

make it pretty...

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

color it one color now. black or brown

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

i like it long. :]

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

what you need is more volume in your hair, maybe try more curls, i dont like the flat look on you it makes your face look probably bigger than it really is, the hair color is very nice.

i would go for more body, curls etc maybe even layering.

but the shorter version is much better

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

it looks better shorter.

i have really fine hair and just recently cut a lot of it off. it looks a lot healthier now and fuller.

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

you should have them put in a lot of razored layers to make it look thicker.... i think it looks ok light blonde

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

i'd go a little darker, try to match your eyebrows for a more natural look.

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

maybe if the second pic hair wasnt so so longg then i would like that one! That one is superr cute but the First one is AWESOME! hoope that helped

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

Oh your really cute as a blonde!! But it's winter, you should try out being brunette! I think it would work on you! Oh, and you should totally do bangs! Tyra Banks has a huge forehead and she rocks bangs!

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

Your color is great. I wouldn't change it if I were you but if you're determined, I'd say go a shade or two darker. For style, you definitely need some lift so you're going to want layers.

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

try blonde with brown lowlights...

http://www.alternativelook.co.uk/WebImag...

or totally brown. be brave! =)

http://hairzingers.com/images/sce/sandra...

and def get bangs! try something new!

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

i don't have any links for you, but i think cutting your hair to your shoulders and adding layers would be good. in the second picture, where your hair is longer, it just makes it look thinner and stringier. IMHO i think you would look best as a dark blonde or light brunette. also, try parting your hair on the side

:)

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

you would look so good with bangs!!! side bangs...

and a haircut that frames your face

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

I like the color of you hair in the second pic. If I were you I wouldn't get bangs. I think you should cut your hair shoulder length and style it so the ends flip out. That might look cute? Or just leave it

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

Ok...The color looks pretty on you already I would keep it the same.........maybe you should go for layers and a side bang that would look good and maybe add some poof or spunk to it.

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

totally get layers and i think you would look good with black hair and blonde highlights;nobody likes being called a dumb blonde

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

In the first picture the one with the shorter hair, and the lighter colr you look great, see if you can get that look again ....good luck

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

Oooh hunny. You need some volume in your hair. I say you should cut it shorter. A lot shorter. And get tonssss of short layers at the top. That'll allow you to style it so you have volume. Very textured layers will give the illusion of more hair. Colour-wise I say you should put tons of low-lights into it.

Oh, and.. let your bangs down. Get side-swept bangs with a lot of texture in them. It'd look amazingggg

I need help with my hair, What should I do?

Do something simple and cute.

I thought your hair color might rock these styles.

It might because you wont have as much hair to straighten!

Will getting my hair thinned help me from straightening my hair so much?

i would talk to my hairdresser, they should tell you what would be best, but i think that thinning it just helps with the look not the actual structure, you might wanna try different shampoos and smoothing products, also when and if you blow dry it, point the nozzle down the hair as this will help to close the cutcicles making it more shiny and should smooth it. i always find that helps. i also use a metal barred brush as it heats up and helps too. x

Will getting my hair thinned help me from straightening my hair so much?

NO. X

Will getting my hair thinned help me from straightening my hair so much?

I had my hair thinned %26amp; I still have to straighten it every day. My hair was very, very thick. It is also very coarse. But thinning it out really helped. If you do it make sure the person doesn't thin out your top layers or you will have major fly-aways!

Help With My Hair?!?!?!?!?!?

Note: You can get your hair "relaxed" at a salon for about $100. It is a project that makes straightening your hair much easier and faster to do and lasts quite a few months.

For "thin" hair: You can have your hair "thinned" where you get your hair cut. It is hard to explain but basically they use a razor and take out pieces of your hair while keeping the length.

For "flat and shiny" hair: Wash and condition hair. Use a good product. I recommend Biosilk ($20) and Garnier Fructis Smoothing Milk. Blow dry (in sections) with a brush, then use a hot iron (I recommend "Chi") and straighten in sections.

Help With My Hair?!?!?!?!?!?

Help With My Hair?!?!?!?!?!?

You can use a flat iron. it works well on my hair.

How to strengthen or thicken hair?

I thnk that I am starting to see my hair thin out. I use got2b glued 2 times a week and wash my hair about 3 times a week with shampoo. I take biotin also and centrum vitamins. What else can I do to thicken and strengthen my hair? I am going to buzz it in the summer time, but for the time being, what can I do?

How to strengthen or thicken hair?

http://shopping.msn.com/results/shampoos...

try loreal, matrix shampoos they are very very good, i have been using them for the past 5 years

How to strengthen or thicken hair?

My hair used to be really thin too.

Just make sure you don't use shampoos that are high in volume, just because they feel good on your hair, doesn't mean its good for you! It is most likely high in wax extract, which KILLS your hair! Also, before you get out of the shower, turn the cold water on and let your hair soak in it. My hair is very strong now and I am WAY less tender-headed!

How to strengthen or thicken hair?

If u hv time for a home remedy...then try this. It really helps.

Walk in to an indian store and ask for a henna pack. Its a powder of dried henna leaf.

Oil ur hair the night before applying this paste. Soak the henna powder in some tea decoction or water for 10 mins and make a semi thick paste. Apply this on ur hair and leave it on for 20-30 mins or until its dry. (you can add egg white to this paste for silky hair.)

Then rinse ur hair with cold water till everything gets off and then u can shampoo ur hair.

If u do this once in 15 days...ur hair will become thick.100% gurantee. Moreover there ar no side affects as it doesnt have any chemicals in it.

Incase u do not find the henna pack..then try for Shahnaaz Hussain products.
