Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Hi

I have thin/silky hair and I just washed my hair. Now I need to curl it for tomorrow.

I have a medium heat curling Iron and a "got2b in control" hair spray (not very strong hold, but not that bad either).

Can anyone give me tips to make my hair have nice curly look?

Its cut in layers and shoulder length. My curling iron is 1 inch in diameter.

Thanks

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Make sure that when you wrap your hair around the barrel, you hold it for long enough.

Sometimes to avoid the "crimp" that the end of the curling iron leaves, I wrap my hair around the entire barrel. I don't even bother using the lever thing.

If your hair does not hold a curl very well, then turn up the heat A LOT. It's either that, or you'll have limp curls.

If you're going to sleep with curly hair, be sure to put enough hairspray in to hold it. Maybe get some kind of shower cap/sleeping cap to hold your hair. Otherwise, your curls could get smooshed.

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

curl it with an expensive curling iron the best one to use is conair

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Do you have naturally STRAIGHT HAIR or what? I have very straight hair that doesn't hold a curl well - I've attempted to curl it the night before to save myself the trouble in the morning and it absolutely doesn't work.

If you need to set your hair the day before, try hair rollers.

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

If you want spiral curls, then while your hair is wet, wrap your hair with pencils and clip them there until your hair dries and take them out. An old trick my grandmother taught me. And if you want larger curls, then use your straightener to curl your hair. My hairstylist used a small straightener to curl my hair and my hair was so beautiful and curly for the seasonal dance I went to. It stayed since 10 am to 11 pm. Which was surprising since my hair is thin and silky also.

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

if u want more of a modern look then bump it under. or curl your hair under. If your looking for more of a retro look then curl your hair in swirls so it can be spiral curly

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Do you have foam rollers? Run to K-Mart to get some - they are pretty inexpensive. If not foam, some other type of set-when-wet rollers. We your hair, roll your hair in the rollers (if you use foam, do not wrap the hair tightly as this will give you horrible looking kinks!), then throw a sleeping cap over them (if you don't have one, use a clean pair of undies - it looks absurd, but works!)

This should give you a stonger/longer lasting curl for tomorrow! Good luck!

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Rollers work better than a curling iron honestly. Right now while your hair is wet you should roll sections of hair in thick rollers and then thin rollers so you have different curls and the next morning (the day you need them) you unroll them, tousle your hair and DON'T brush since it will cause extreme fizz and use aerosol can hair sprasy to spray it down to hold it all day. Curling irons don't let your hair hold that long even with hair spray.

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

The best way to retain your curls is to wrap the ends of your hair starting at the tip of the iron instead of the base, so when you let it go the hair ends fall through the spiral of hair you've created.

Let the hair cool still in the spiral formation, do not brush through it while warm.

Also, when you spiral curl you should alternate directions. This will make it look more natural. So twist your iron toward your head for one curl, then away from your head for the next.

Also spray your hair with an aerosol hairspray before curling. Do not use spritz, it's too heavy. I would recommend Treseme.

Hair Curling Tips. Best answer gets 10 points:)?

Invest in a GHD straightening iron you can curl, str8n %26amp; flick with this amazing little machine. But if you cant then the best advice i can offer you is DONT WASH YOUR HAIR, the dirtyer the better for holding a smooth curl. Try and dirty it up a bit. And then just curl as usual with ya curling tong, spray a very fine mist of your h/spray on each section before you curl (becareful not to saturate it, if you can feel it you have put to much in. H/spray is not the best product for this but we are working with what you have) Curl and then twist the finished curl around your finger and so on, spray finished style with h/spray. Remember curls drop over time, if they look a bit springy at first in an hour or 2 it will look perfect

What's a good hairstyle for someone with a round full face, curly and thin hair? I don't w

short hair doesn't go well with a round face anyway, especially if your hair is thin. I would suggest a cut that's shoulder length, or a bit longer. And layer it so it doesn't have that triangular shape that a lot of curly haired people have. Also, layering can compliment your face.

What's a good hairstyle for someone with a round full face, curly and thin hair? I don't want to go too short.

cant exactly answer your question but when you get your hair cut just tell the stylist you want something that flatters your face shape and not to short they should know what to do its their job

What's a good hairstyle for someone with a round full face, curly and thin hair? I don't want to go too short.

If you have a round face, any hairstyle can work. That is the good thing about having a round face, anything goes.

Round Face

What makes a round face?

Round looking face with round cheeks and round hairline. The widest part will be at your cheeks or ears. You share your face shape with Christina Ricci, Drew Barrymore and Kate Winslet.

Tips

If you have a round face (like me) it can seem a bit tricky at times to get it right. Remember the aim is to get the face more balanced and avoid making it look rounder.

Height and weight at the crown of the face draws the eye up and creates more length. The best way to do this is by layering the top to create fullness whilst keeping the rest of the length lean. Longer lengths that sit below the chin work to elongate the face making facial features appear longer and leaner. Hair styles with a heavily styled swept back direction can work to create angles on the face. Try to avoid extreme fullness on the side of the face which will just make the widest part of your face look even wider.

Happening Hair Options

Long hair styles: Below the chin creates balance

Waves: Soft waves are romantic but not overly round.

Angle cuts: Introduce angles into the face through the use of dimensional cuts

Side parts: Draw the eye up and away and detracts from roundness.

Volume: At the crown creates elongation in the face and therefore more balance.

= = =

The best hairstyles generally include:

1. Layered bangs rather than straight or heavy bangs.

2. Short styles which give height.

3. Styles that add length.

4. Styles that keep the sides of your hair short or close to the face.

5. Curls around the crown, but never near the cheeks, to create height. Keep the sides of your hair short with a curly style.

6. Longer to very long styles with bangs and a graduated shag or layers so that the face and the neck are given a slenderizing shape.

Well placed highlighting will also slenderize the face.

Highlights that are woven around the face in an "angel halo" effect will also slenderize an overly round face.

Don't be afraid to wear your hair any length that you like. Long hair can be worn just as easily as short or medium length hair as long as you wear your hair "forward" onto your face to create a more "oval" appearance.

If you have a round face shape the goal with your hairstyle is to create an oval appearance and lift the face. To achieve this, keep the sides close to the face and promote height at the crown and hair showing below the chin.

Why does chin hair come thick after chemo, but not the rest of my body?

i had chemo and lost all body hair. i now have thin head hair, none on underarms or legs and thin private parts, but i have chin hair that any teenage boy would be proud to have. Why is that???

Why does chin hair come thick after chemo, but not the rest of my body?

Have you heard of the scalp therapy called Nioxin?? If not there is a website, what it is exactly I'm not sure, just type in Nioxin I guess. Someone told me it was developed for chemo patients. I'm not a chemo patient, but my hair grows so slowly. I've been using it twice a week for the past year. It really helps. The one thing though and I really hate to even say this because it just sounds abnormal, my eyelashes. They were long to begin with, but they have grown lately, when I wear my sunglasses they hit the lens . I recommend this stuff highly. You can buy it at any hair solon, or beauty supply outlet. Good luck!

Nioxin or Regaine? Hair growth products...?

Am only 23yo, i am facing a hair thinning problem. I'm currently using Nioxin hair cleanser, Scalp Therapy and Booster. I'm doubt this brand helps me in my not-so-obvious but happening hair thinning problem. I bought a box of Regaine 2% hair growth booster earlier but left dusted without use. Should i use both product at one time? any better suggestions or recommendations? I'm just a student. Please help me. What i should take note!

Nioxin or Regaine? Hair growth products...?

Propecia is a well-known medicine and very popular. Regular use of Propecia can stop hair loss and even re-grow hair. Not just Propecia, there are other options too that could be better for your hair. In the past people did not have many options to fight baldness. The most common way was to buy a wig and cover the head. But now with the advancement of science we have many more ways for treating hair loss.

Some of the better hair loss treatments are:

Bio matrix treatment: This is widely known as hair weaving. Hair is woven to cover the bald patch. Today hair weaving has emerged as one of the best and popular treatments for hair loss.

Nioxin or Regaine? Hair growth products...?

my mother tried nioxin and it didn't work so maybe you should try regaine

Nioxin or Regaine? Hair growth products...?

Hello Andrew K,

Before spending any more money, I advice you to do some good research on the opportunities which might help you to cope with your problem.

Maybe you can make a new start from here:

Wishing you good luck!

PS. I hope this information is not too general, because obviously your hair problem is very specific.

Nioxin or Regaine? Hair growth products...?

There are also natural hair loss ranges like Nisim's New Hair Biofactors. Minoxidil based products can have side effects as they are strong drugs.

There are also camouflage products from Nanogen.

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

hi, i have long thin blonde hair:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y35/sho...

and my prom dress is aqua/light blue solid strapless dress. im also planning on wearing earrings and I have no idea what to do with my hair- its finally long enough but its thin so it makes stuff like a french twist look odd. ive looked through hundreds of ideas, so any help is greatly appreciated. i was originally thinking either an elegant french twist or just down curly, but down may be hot once i start dancing. maybe half up half down? idk, please give me any and all of your suggestions! hope the picture helps. thanks :)

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

yeah I think an updo would look very nice. french twist with babysbreath in it and chandilier earrings too .... have fun at prom and dont do anything I wouldn't... I take that back do all the things I wouldnt do, like BEHAVE, lol

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

Because you are wearing a strapless an updo is a must. I like the idea of a french twist, and I would top that off with curls at the top.

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

Hilary Duff's hair in Cinderella Story is beautiful when shes at her prom. I did it for my semi- formal and i got SO many compliments.

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

if i were you, i would try this, get a pack of sponge rollers, wash your hair and take strands of hair and wrap it from the ends of your hair up into the roller to make a spiral curl, then i would sleep on it, the next day, take out the rollers, and if you don't like it long and springy, just take bobby pins and pin it up on the top of your head. it is a really nice style for prom. best of luck and have a good time!

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

An up do would look great! or you could wear it down curly, it would also make your hair look thicker!

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

PROM HAIR?!? i have a pic- ANY IDEAS?

Hi Caroline!

Well. . . since your dress is a strapless you could wear your hair half-way up with curls and do some lose curls for the other half of your hair, or you could even put it all up and accent it with a cute butterfly or flower. A blue or white flower would be divine with the color of your dress.

If you would like some step-by-step instructions on what kind of up-do to have for your prom, I would suggest going to: www.promadvice.com!

They have great instructions and you can match up your hair type to theirs and they look fab!

Hope this helps :)

Hair falling out?

ok i have thin blonde hair. i am only 21 so it is not cause of old age. but anything i do it falls out. and feels weakened. i have tried a hair treatment but i don't think it is working. something as simply as running my hand through my hair i would have like a handful of hair that came out. i am wanting to get my hair thicker. healthier. and longer. what is the best way.

Hair falling out?

If this is a new situation, talk to your doctor. I have had this happen 3 times in my life and I have thick hair. Twice it was medication I was on and once it was thyroid troubles. I took Seldane while in college and it made my hair fall out as you describe. It was later pulled off the market for causing health problems. More recently, I took Zocor for cholesterol and the same thing happened. Both times as soon as I stopped the medication, my problems with hairloss stopped.

Hair falling out?

I'm only 16 and it seems like my hair is falling out more than usual as well %26gt;_%26lt; woe is me it's a real nusance! I read the 1st answer and I am also on a new medicine. Perhaps it's a medical problem, I would also recomend talking to your doctor. People on here don't know you and won't know the condition unless they examine you in person (and are doctors who know the probable cause) so please ask your doctor!

Hair falling out?

It could be a vitamin imbalance or hormonal imbalance (thyroid).

Stess could also be a factor.

The best thing I could suggest to you is go to your doctor and have some test run to find out whats going on.

I been doing hair for over 30 years.

Hair falling out?

Seriously make an appointment to see a doctor. If it is stress he or she will let you know and if it is something more serious he or she will let you know. Either way going to see a doctor will say you money, headace, hair, and time.

What products are good for dry, thin and curly hair?

My hair has lots of body, but is thin and dry. Tips for curly hair that I came across were for thick curly hair, but my hair is thin, curly and puffy.

What products are good for dry, thin and curly hair?

My hair is naturally curly too, but it doesn't curl nice if I let it dry naturally so I either tie it in a pony tail to keep it from frizzing to oblivion or put it in a bun.

At any rate... I put VO5 Frizz control in my hair after taking a shower or bath (on wet hair anyways) and after the VO5 I also put a coat of petroleum jelly, or basically Vasoline. I know vasoline probably doesn't sound like the yummiest thing to put in your hair but trust me, it's much, much cheapter than those stupid expensive brands of hair gel on the market and works waaaaayyyy better anyways and leaves your hair looking a lot softer and smooth.

So just put the VO5 in your hair after a shower, comb it through to distribute evenly through your hair and especially make sure it gets the ends of your hair. Then put the vasoline in your hair and comb it through evenly and your hair will look much silkier, don't put a whole lot of vasoline, just about a dime to a quarter-sized drop and spread through your hands and then throughout your hair. It worked for me and my hair is the queen of frizz, but now it "looks" healthy even though it might not be the healthiest.

How do i cut my own hair?

OK, this is ME currently:

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q86/k...

this is how i want:

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q86/k...

Now, i do know my head shape, type of hair is almost the same.

What i really want is the thickness of the hair. How can i cut my own hair so that it matches the layers like him (A lot thinner)?

My hair way way too thick, and i want it to be like his hair. The thin-ness of his hair is what i want.

How do i cut my own hair?

You want to layer it to get that effect. If you have thick hair, like me, layers will help thin it out alot. That's how I did my own, and my hair is currently something similar to what you want. They don't have to be big layers, that's where alot of people make the mistake and loose more length than they intended. Just lots of little ones, no more than a centimeter at most, will help get rid of alot of that extra hair. And always, when cutting your hair, leave it longer than you think you want it at first. It's easier to cut it shorter on the second pass than it is to grow it back! =D Good luck!

How do i cut my own hair?

Just go for it. If you don't like it, oh well, it's hair, it grows.

Does ovarian cysts make your hair thin out?

im thinning from the top of my head and my temples, is the cysts causing this to happen? if yes what can i do to stop it? please help im desperate

Does ovarian cysts make your hair thin out?

HI J E, Check out Aaliyah's momma's response. If you have more symptoms (other than the thinning hair), go to the dr. Go to Wikipedia and print out the page on PCOS and take it with you to the doctor. There are treatments for PCOS, (better than the oft prescribed birth control pills that do little more than mask your symptoms, not solve the underlying problem.) If your dr. seems heistant to do more than prescribe BC pills, keep looking for a dr. who is well-versed with PCOS or similar ovarian/endocrin. problems. Good Luck!

By the way, another thing that can cause problems with thinning hair is thyroid disorders. Go to the dr. and get a good check up!

Does ovarian cysts make your hair thin out?

no.. its a myth

Does ovarian cysts make your hair thin out?

Do you have polycystic ovary syndrome? These are the symptoms according to wikipedia.

Signs and symptoms

Common symptoms of PCOS include

Oligomenorrhea, amenorrhea - irregular, few, or absent menstrual periods; cycles that do occur may comprise heavy bleeding (check with a gynecologist because heavy bleeding is also an early warning sign of endometrial cancer, for which women with PCOS are at higher risk)

Infertility, generally resulting from chronic anovulation (lack of ovulation)

Elevated serum (blood) levels of androgens (male hormones), specifically testosterone, androstenedione, and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS), causing hirsutism and occasionally masculinization

Central obesity - "apple-shaped" obesity centered around the lower half of the torso

Androgenic alopecia (male-pattern baldness)

Acne, oily skin, seborrhea

Acanthosis nigricans (dark patches of skin, tan to dark brown or black)

Acrochordons (skin tags) - tiny flaps of skin

Prolonged periods of PMS-like symptoms (bloating, mood swings, pelvic pain, backaches)

Sleep apnea

Notice, male-pattern baldness is included in the symptoms.

Hair loss?

I'm 15 and about a year or two ago I started losing a lot of hair, like after i'd take a shower or even after brushing hair i could just pull out like 20 strands of hair. my hair is really thick, and i dont see any signs of my hair thinning or anything but is there any way to prevent it? i also got a trim of 1 1/2 inches and it didnt help..thank you in advance

Hair loss?

If this has happened continuously (w/o stopping) then go see your doctor. If it's a once in a while thing, then it's probably not as big a deal. Every year around August (when school starts) I get really stressed out and my hair falls out a lot for a month, and then it stops. But it might be a more serious medical problem for you so your best bet is to see a doctor.

Hair loss?

my hair is that way too. i'm sure there's nothing wrong with you. we have sooo many hairs on our head its not even funny

Hair loss?

go the doctor.

there could be underlying reasons for your hair loss. i always had really thick hair, and i mean REALLY thick. it was so thick it was unmanageable. when i was about 17 it started to fall out, slowly at first and because it was so thick i didnt really notice it.

now im 24 and i have lost about 60% of my hair and you can see my scalp. its too late to do anything about it because the hair follicles are dead. after consultations with the doctor, specialist, chinese herbal doctor etc i have established it was due to stress (really bad relationship and breakup).

it may be nothing but you dont want to risk just allowing it to happen then one day you realise its got really bad but its too late to fix it. hair is something that you dont realise what you got till its gone and i wish i had got help for mine sooner

Hair loss?

Maybe you're brushing too hard or have a lot on your mind. For me, I have naturally thick curly hair and when I come my hair I get out a LOT of hair too-but thats cuz I have a lot of hair. You might wanna check with a your doctor or hairdresser and see if they can help you. Besides, on the Internet I read thats it normal to lose hair everyday, you're supposed to.

Hope this helps!

Does dying your hair make your hair thinner?

are there any baad things about dying your hair...like having it fall out or whatever...im debating on whether i should dye my hair or not.

Does dying your hair make your hair thinner?

Dying your hair can dry it out and make it not as healthy or shiny. It can also cause damage and breakage if you dye too often or leave the dye on for too long. Its especially bad if you are going from dark hair to lighter hair. But dye can be nice too. My advice, talk to your stylist about the color and then pay to have her do it. Its always better if done professionally.

Does dying your hair make your hair thinner?

hmmm good question

Does dying your hair make your hair thinner?

If you bleach it, then stripping color may actually make the strands thinner. If you overprocess there is a chance hair will fall out.

Does dying your hair make your hair thinner?

A few years ago I let a new beautician do all sorts of things to my hair. Well, she overprocessed it and some of it got thinner and some got brittle and some fell out. She totally ruined my hair. It took 6 months to grow out normal.

So.......... just dont get carried away and have it overprocessed.

I don't believe so unless you seriously over do it.

Hair growth?

ok I am so I wanted to know how to grow m hair really long? I use to have beautiful long hair to my belly button when I straighten it now I have it to m shoulders and they thinned my hair out with the cut so it wont feel thick. I really had beautiful hair no...I am waiting for it to grow.... don't know why I cut it but.... I was bored...dumb i know... now whats a way for my hair to grow back FAST? and know I do not want extentions! I want my real hair! haha it feels like it isn't growing.!!! HELP!!!!

Hair growth?

There are a few things you can do to help your hair grow. Nutrition is important. Drinking lots of water, eating a balanced diet and making sure you get enough protein will help your hair grow. You still have to get regular trims to keep your hair healthy, even though your really regret having it cut. Keeping it trimmed will help it look healthy and grow. Staying away from chemicals, and heat styling as much as you can, as well as letting your hair air dry, rather than blow drying will also help. You're right to stay away from extensions, some types are good, but some will cause damage - if your goal is to get your hair to grow, better to avoid extensions. Last thing is to make sure you're using the right hair products for your type of hair. Using the wrong shampoo and conditioner or the wrong styling products will strip your hair of the natural oils it needs, and it will take longer to grow. Really look at the products you're using, avoid anything with alcohol in it. Good Luck.

Hair growth?

Get trims onece in a while, but some peoples hair just won't grow very long. weird.

Hair growth?

well when i have my hair done it grows realy quickly and i had thick hair so it might feel like its not growing but realy its is

Hair growth?

It's highly unlikely that anything you do is going to make your hair grow faster. If you are already a healthy individual, adding supplements, etc., really won't make your hair grow faster. The average hair growth for a healthy person is one and one-fourth to one and one-half inches per month and there are very few exceptions to this. What getting regular trims does is it keeps your hair from splitting at the ends and then up the hair shaft. It's necessary to get regular trims because if you don't, what is growing back from the scalp is breaking off at the ends which makes it seem that your hair is not growing.

I want to buy a nice brush for my hair to use when I blow it dry. I have very fine, thin hair, and it is?

Get a boar bristle round brush. It will add volume to your hair without much breakage. I got mine on sephora.com, or just go to your local beauty store like Ulta. Good luck!

i have a ceramic brush. it is bug and roung but you can find them in a variety of colours, styles, shpes and sizes. you can find one at your local salon and they range anywhere from 5-25 bucks.

I want to buy a nice brush for my hair to use when I blow it dry. I have very fine, thin hair, and it is?

You should use a round brush with briseles. A brush like this will help strengthen your hair....buy it at a discount store, walmart, or hair supply store. You should use a deep conditioner also.

I have thin , very easily broken hair. if i use the round brushes unless its a natural one it breaks and damages my hair. So i have a wide paddle cermamic brush. (its really good ) And a detangling comb ( i love love love my detangling comb)

I have extremely thick hair and would love the sleek look but it's too thick any suggestions for thinning it? and what do I tell my stylist to do?

I need to thin out my hair it's too thick what should I do?

get layers that look good with your face shape ( your hair dresser will know what your talkin bout) and ask them to thin it with thinning sheers..this sounds scary but trust me..all they are, are sissors with slitts in them that help remove some hair causing it to be thick. you cant even tell when your done except for the fact your hair is thinner. Tons of ppl do this including me and it helps soo much!!! Also try using a flat iron and gel. this helps flatten it out for a smoother look.

I need to thin out my hair it's too thick what should I do?

get choppy layers that are done with either a razor blade or your stylist/dresser/barber can use a texturizing technique they should know what you are talking about

If you tell your stylist that you want to thin your hair they will know what to do. You can have it layered too. That will take off some of the weight.

I need to thin out my hair it's too thick what should I do?

Most hairstylists can use a pair of scissors called thinning shears. As the previous answer said, choppy layers and a great cut will work wonders as well. The thinning shears can take the bulk out of your hair without making it obvious. Good luck.

CHOPPY LAYERS WILL PROBABLY DO THE TRICK...OR U CAN ASK THE BARBER

tell your stylist to thin our your hair, he will know what to do, they usually have a pair of scissors that does the job

Hair dillemma?

Okay I have a hair dillemma! I have been straghtening my hair for about the past 2 years, and now it has become brittle and very thin. My hair is just below my shoulders, and even when I straighten it after using heat treatment and anti-frizz it still looks vrittle and as though it has split ends ALL the way through/

What sort things can I combatt this with? For example permanently sraightening(I have fine hair though), layering, or a nice cut that gives it more body and looks smoother?

Thankyou sooooo much in advance, pictures would be appreciated and I really need some help!

Hair dillemma?

You have to do some treatments. First never use an iron on wet hair it will burn it, not even damp hair.

You have to get professional products for damaged hair and a reconstructive treatment. The condition your hair is in right now I wouldn't do an chemical service to it at all. So no chemical straiting. Your hair is to damaged and dry. I am going to tell you how to do the treatment and how to clean up the splits.

First if you are growing your hair you should cut your hair every 6 to 8 weeks. To long in-between and you will get to many splits. When you leave splits they just keep splitting and then break off, thus your hair is now shorter. If not growing it cut every 4 to 6 weeks. Your hair grows about 1/2 inch a month. And more during summer.

To clean up the splits higher on the hair shaft:

You need to part your hair into 4 to 6 sections

Take small amounts of hair and gently twist like a rope but do not let it buckle.

Then gently slide fingers up the hair shaft to expose the splits.

Take scissors and cut parallel to the hair shaft. If you cut towards the hair you could cut the hair off.

You may need a friend you can trust to do this for you.

Hair Treatment:

Wash hair

Apply reconstructive treatment

cover head with bag if long hair and cap if short

heat head with blow dryer or alike until hot

cover with towel and let slowly cool

Rinse hair, never rinse hair while hot hair can break off.

Do this every week or more for a month. As your hair gets better do less and less.

Hair dillemma?

layer ur hair and stop straightening.try wavy look.use sponge curlers not hot.

good luck

Hair dillemma?

Oh my that's a problem, how often do you straighten your hair, that's a sign your doing to much already, I highly recommend getting hair cuts every 7-10 weeks and ask to cut off about an inch off every time, no more than that though, this process will eventually builds the hair shaft strength

Hair dillemma?

Sounds like you should cut as much of it off as you can. Then invest in good in shower conditioners, plus a leave in conditioner during the day. Give your hair a break from the straightening for atleast a month so it can recover and even then, only straighten occasionally.

Hair dillemma?

Use a deep conditioner 2-3 times a week when you wash your hair... get it cut regularly... and try not to use the straightener every day.

Need hair style suggestions - my hair is driving me crazy right now!!!?

My hair has gotten so long and thick that it is taking 1/2 hour to dry with the blower, and even then I'll realize it's still damp underneath. Ugh!!!

I'm going to Don Shaw salon and want to get a professional hairstyle that is easy to maintain (that I don't need to spend 1/2 hour recreating every morning), isn't too short but maybe shoulder-length or just a little longer, maybe thins my hair out a little, and doesn't fall into my eyes all the time.

So I'm looking for some ideas before I just tell them, do what they think works best for me. But if you have a link to an online hair style as part of your suggestion, I'd appreciate it.

(Guys are so lucky. My husband took Wahl clippers to his own head and gave himself a finger-length haircut all over and darn it if it didn't come out pretty hot looking! It just isn't fair!)

Wavy hair issues?

ok, my whole life it seems, ive had horrible hair that ive struggled with...i finally got a competent stylist who literally changed my life. she managed to thin my hair using a method that not many stylists want to use (according to her) and managed to give me a style that was less bulky and actually looked nice! ive been straightening my hair since i was 17. im 22 this year and ive had about enough of straighteners and burnt hair smells, not to mention the time it takes. recently ive taken a liking to my wavy hair and wondered if maybe i could find a way to style it so it doesnt poof out and look horrid. what i do now is put some biosilk in with my finger (no combs while its wet) then blow dry on low, then try and finish with high (trying to dry the roots) and it always turns puffy and ugly and frizzy at this point.what can i do to my hair that is quick, simple and wont burn it and doesnt take alot of product?

Wavy hair issues?

How long is your hair, if it is longer just let it dry naturally. Take the towel off of it find your preferred part and with as little messing with it as possible put it where you want it to lay when it dries. If you want you can put a little bit of Anti frizz serum on it, but I never did. My hair would stay pretty all day when I did that, I mean there was always the days where my activities or weather messed with it but for the most part it looked nice, it was quick, simple and didn't cost much.

The curls and waves would stay together and not frizz out on their own.

hope this helps!

Wavy hair issues?

let it flow naturally,

stop trying to change it

Wavy hair issues?

Try the same process minus the blow dryer. The blow dryer adds body, something you don't necessarily need any more of.

Wavy hair issues?

use a deep conditioner. the deep conditioner will moisturize your hair and prevent it from frizzing. and use a straightening gel ( like the tressemme one) before you blow-dry your hair.

--hope I can help

Wavy hair issues?

You should use John Freida frizz ease. I would recommend the shampoo, conditioner and especially the serum probably in extra strong for your hair. I know you said you didn't want to use a lot of product but it is amazing. They have products for both straight and curly hair i would definitely recommend this. A weave is also an option. Permanent straighting kits also can help improve the situation they last for up to 3 months. They may damage your hair a little but not as much as 3 months of straightening and blow drying. good luck.

Wavy hair issues?

Just do nothing but keep it trimmed and have the stylist use thinning scissor from time to time and find a couple of styles that you like and use them.

Waves can be removed or reduced by using hair relaxer, so try and use some, you will have many choice at discount stores and at your local pharmacy.

Wavy hair issues?

i have wavy hair also. to me it is way easier to wear it wavy then straighten it. 1st wash your hair with a nice shampoo, but just put a leave in conditioner in. never ever comb or brush your hair when u wear it wavy or curly. i always use biosilk. just towel dry your hair no blow dryer. flip your hair over and scrunch it with a alcohol free gel, make sure its even in your hands. then spray it with hair spray after geling. hope this helps! also when it drys if u have frizzy pieces curl them with a curling iron.

Hi Caroline!

Well. . . since your dress is a strapless you could wear your hair half-way up with curls and do some lose curls for the other half of your hair, or you could even put it all up and accent it with a cute butterfly or flower. A blue or white flower would be divine with the color of your dress.

If you would like some step-by-step instructions on what kind of up-do to have for your prom, I would suggest going to: www.promadvice.com!

They have great instructions and you can match up your hair type to theirs and they look fab!

My hair is a bit dull. help?

OK, well, I have ultra-thin blonde hair about shoulder length, and it looks super cute when I have it down %26amp; completely straight, but it's just a bit dull.

Like, I want it to be shiny %26amp; really healthy-looking, and my friend says that washing your hair every day (w/ conditioner) like dries out your hair or something...and i do that...

Also, I highlighted my hair with a shade of blonde a lil lighter than mine a few months ago, and so it's starting to come out a lil, but not too bad, so does that have something to do with it?

Ok, so if you have any tips, good products, or remedies you'd like to tell me, please share!!!

p.s: my mom is so not into, like, really expensive products, and I don't think it's healthy to use a kazillion products on your hair daily....so try to keep the cost and amount down....thnx!!

My hair is a bit dull. help?

Give your hair a vinegar rinse. Mix 1 tsp of white vinegar (most people prefer cider vinegar) with 2 cups of water and rinse hair with it post shampoo. Leave on for a couple of minutes and wash off. Follow with your conditioner. This will remove any build-up your hair might have and make it nice and shiny and your high-lights will look even brighter. This can be done once every two weeks. Also, try not to wash your hair every day.

My hair is a bit dull. help?

massage your scalp with wheatgerm oil

My hair is a bit dull. help?

You may be washing it too much (yes, too much.) Washing your hair takes away the natural oils that reside on the shaft and make it shiny. Also, you may be over-conditioning. Conditioner builds up and may cause your hair to look dull.

My hair is a bit dull. help?

Well, its ok my hair is dull too and i have problems trying to lift it up...but i have been using this shampoo call Sun Silk...and on the bottom it says...something like is your hair dull...need a lift...i don't remember but try it, it really works:)

My hair is a bit dull. help?

Go and buy Sunsilk products. About $3.99 each. Or Pantene with the green band on it or is it the purple band on it or the red band on it. These have gold design on the front. $4.99 each approx. Shampoo/conditioner combo.

Glosses by Redken Glass 1 $11.00 each.

Blondes

Rosemary is the trick for blonde beauties who want more shine. Simply boil 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary needles in one quart of water for 10 minutes. Let the solution cool then strain out the needles. Pour the liquid into an air-tight container and apply as a final rinse every time you shampoo your hair. Use approximately 1/2 a cup each time. The theory with this natural hair enhancement idea is that the yellow oil from the rosemary brightens your hair by coating each strand. Your rosemary solution will last up to a week.

My hair is a bit dull. help?

This might sound dumb, but rinse your hair in cider vinegar. It'll be squeaky clean and shiny. Use cool water also with the vinegar. It must be cider vinegar. Very inexpensive from the grocery store, but your Mom might have some on hand.

Hair styling help?

Hi, I'm a 13 year old girl. can anyone help me decide how i should style/design/cut my hair? I was thinking of going to Hair Cuttery [never been there before] and getting my hair thinned out. But i was wondering what else i could to? like, maybe get more bangs or make them side bangs? Also, I have never been to Hair Cuttery before so I'm hoping for some tips or advice from personal experience.

Hair description:

-"front" bangs [they were my mom's idea... urgh]

-dark brown/black

-thick

-wavy

-a bit poofy and frizzy

-shoulder length

Btw, I like to straighten my hair and its not alway easy %26amp; takes about a good 45 minutes. would thinning it out help? and would it look better? or do i just need a better straightener? Also, my face is not exactly round. I guess its in between oval and what you would call oblong? I don't know if that helps, but no mean answers please :)

Thanks for all the help!

Hair styling help?

thin hair is always easyer than thick

Hair styling help?

For thick, wavy, medium length hair I would suggest getting it layered and "feathering" the front. I never suggest thinning because the "scissors" used damage the hair and cause split ends. If you have a thin oval face I would not suggest bangs unless they are side bags. Bangs look better on "round" faces. A layered cut is very easy to style. When you get out of the shower blow dry in a downward motion then simply use a large curling iron to flip layers out or under.

Hair styling help?

I have similar hair. And by the way, I have had front bangs and I have almost the exact same hair type as you, only I am blondish brown. Having wavy, puffy hair is not a good idea with front bangs, which really looks best with naturally straight hair. Longer sideswept bangs look nice on just about everyone, and they can work with wavy hair a lot better (trust me, I know). I don't know how thinning it out would look, but I wanted to do it too to make it easier to straighten but my mom said it would be a mistake, but ask your hairstylist for some pictures before you thin it out. Some of my friends say that it's a good idea to get your hair thinned, but I don't know.

Hair styling help?

next time try writing your question without too much words kay??

Hair styling help?

hello

i think it would be easier if you got it thinned out and side bangs. my friend has extremely thick hair that takes about an hour and a half to straighten, so she gets it thinned and it's easier to manage. plus you could just straighten your bangs and then not straighten your hair.

Hair styling help?

leave your hair length and get your bangs sideswept to keep you in style for the next 2 years (:

(dont forget the sidepart)

then use sunsilk frizz shampoo and conditioner (its a green bottle, you cant miss it)

use a light gel (i reccomend TRESemme Clean Hold Gel)

and dont worry, i;ve been there, your mom winds up giving you an awful haircut and you feel like you look awful. if you strut that hair like your tyra banks, you will look (and even feel) like a top model.. (:

Hair styling help?

No, you don't need an appointment at Hair Cuttery, but there's no telling how long you'll have to wait if you're a walk-in, so an appointment is a good idea. I know people like Hair Cuttery because of their prices, but I've found that the hair stylists aren't usually among the best around. I think I lot of new stylists go there to get some experience. They do have a lot of books on hair styles, though, so it might be worth going in and checking them out. See if you can find a model with a face shaped similar to yours and your type of hair to tell if it might be good for you. If you get a good stylist, he/she can make recommendations based on your face shape, your hair type, hair length, etc. Good luck... and remember, if you don't like how it turns out, you can change it.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

should I get bangs??? I want to really thin my hair out. I have thick, strawberry blond hair and it is really easy for a stylist to thin my hair. I want to get straight across bangs that are like right up to my eyebrows. should i do it? i have an oval face.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

.I think it'll probably look cute. Your hair is naturally straight I'm assuming. Go for it. Good Luck

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

I do not think bangs would look good with your combination. If your hair was darker, may be!

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

you can if you want, but personally i never liked that look because your hair needs to be perfectly straight and in place all the time (sleek too) for it to look good, which is a lot of work

as for the thinning, my friend got her hair thinned and it has worked marvelously for her, and if your hair is unmanageable, get it thinned!!

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

dont get straight across bangs, theyre a lot harder to manage. Fringe and side bangs are really in now. Theyre a lot sexier, and less little girly. Definately go for it. I got bangs a while ago and i love them.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

Unless you are Xena, or look like Lucy Lawless, the answer is an emphatic NO.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

I am a hair stylist and I would say it depends on if your hair is curly or straight, do you have a part in the front etc... my recomendation to all of my customers is to get a small wispy bang first give it a try if it doesnt bother you or get in your way and you think you like it, go back and have more cut. it is always easier to grow out a little bit vs a lot. also for an oval face if you decide to get a bang make sure you get it angled around your face to or it will make your cheeks look bigger. hope this helps.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

blunt cut bangs are OUT

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

Maybe not totally straight with your oval face. Do side bangs above the eyebrows that go longer as they go to the side of your face. It should thin it out. If you want straight bangs, I think it could look cute with thick hair, but don't make your bangs thin.

Help!!!!! bangs hair issues?

i would make it so that your bangs can either go to the side or across your forhead and still look cute. you might regret it if you get straight across bangs. they're harder to grow out if you dont end up liking them.

good luck

hope i helped!

Permanent hair colour faded after 2 weeks, Colour lock-in shampoo/conditioner makes hair heavy and l

I've got dark blonde hair, which is very fine. I coloured it with Garnier Belle Colour Natural Dark Brown Permanent about 2 weeks ago. Normally I use Pantene shampoo/conditioner for thin/fine hair which does a great job but because the colour was fading I switched to Sunsilk Colour and Shine shampoo/conditioner in a hope to lock-in the remaining colour. However, it's made my hair dull, lifeless and even greasy looking. Can anyone help with suggestions for the following:

1. A hair colour brand that doesn't fade so quickly

2. A shampoo/conditioner that locks in colour without making it so dull/greasy looking

Or should I just go back to my regular shampoo/conditioner?

Any suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Permanent hair colour faded after 2 weeks, Colour lock-in shampoo/conditioner makes hair heavy and lifeless?

I use Clairol's Nice and Easy and have done for 15 years now. I too have fine hair, but over the last couple of years it has thickened (maybe due to the new conditioner included in the box). As I have very long hair, I need 2 boxes, but get extra conditioner.

My hair hasn't faded or gone "brassy", is in fantastic condition ( I use TRESemme shampoo and conditioner for strawlike hair so I get the extra boost needed).

I do get a lot of compliments about my crowning glory!

pantene or aussi

Permanent hair colour faded after 2 weeks, Colour lock-in shampoo/conditioner makes hair heavy and lifeless?

I had the same problem with my color so I went to Sally's Beauty Supplies and I now use a color enhancing shampoo by Clairol and it brightens up your color between colorings. It's in a purple bottle, I use it twice a week and use Pantene volume the other days.

Try the shampoo I think you will like it.

Permanent hair colour faded after 2 weeks, Colour lock-in shampoo/conditioner makes hair heavy and lifeless?

When shampooing, you should use something without sulfates like Pureology, or Pravana. Sulfates strip color. The first two can only be bought at salons, but they work and they even have formulas for fine hair. Also, they're both concentrated, so even though they cost more, they're worth it.

As far as a haircolor that doesn't fade, if you keep putting permanent color all over your hair, that's your problem. The peroxide keeps opening the outer cuticle of your hair, making it more porous (think of a sponge with too many holes in it), and that's why you're losing color. Just do the permanent at your roots and use a semi-permanent matching color on your ends. Some people just run the color on their ends at the last five or ten minutes and that's usually okay. But if that still makes it fade, you're better off going with a semi-permanent on your ends since you're just depositing color at this point.

It's hard to make a judgement online, but it can also have to do with the condition of your hair. You might want to get a series of deep conditioning treatments to even out the porosity of your hair too. The healthier your hair is, the better it'll hold color.

1. wella color charm permanent colour (professional) then roux fanci-full for in between touch-ups

Hair color/chemical stripping kit?

Would this be a chemical too? Would it reverse a bad straightener that was a chemical process done back 7 months ago? Is it safe for fine thin fragile hair? Would it make your hair back to it's virgin color?

Hair color/chemical stripping kit?

it is a chemical too! it can do more damage to you hair! don't know about the straightener...can be safe for fine hair (but, must be "extremely" careful)! it does NOT take your hair back to the virgin color though...it will lighten a color back a few stages (but, if used immediately after colors like semi-permanent colors it will just remove it)

you must be very careful with stripping kits!

Hair color/chemical stripping kit?

Once you straighten hair you cant reverse it. When you straighten you change your hairs structure permanently. Do not use it on fragile hair you will cause your hair to fall out or be extremely damaged. It will not return it to your natural color it will just strip out the new color to make it easier to dye a new shade. Don't use it go to a professional.

HELP! My hair is so thick and frizzy!?

My hair is reallllyy thick and super frizzy. All my friends have this gorgeous thin layered hair and they can always do gorgeous things with their bangs and stuff. Everyone says I should get it layered, should I!? And what style should I get. My hair just lays flat around my face and it is always frizzy ou around the ends, even when I straighten it! I have to stragiten it almost ALWAYS! help me!

I can't get it permed, because my hair is already curly.. that wouldn't really help me. And all the smoothing creams I used haven't worked. What exactly should I tell the styllits, and does anyone know of any celebrities I could model my hair after?!!? They have to have thick hair.

okay, and so that you can picture my hair it is EXACTLY like Hermione's from Harry Potter! [when i dont have it stragthened].. So what do I do!?

HELP! My hair is so thick and frizzy!?

well first of all, if you don't wash it often, it will become oily which feels really bad and can give you acne. What you should do is wash your hair in the afternoon, to give it some time to dry comepletely (after drying your hair with a hair dryer of course) around for 2-3 hours. Then you sleep on it. The next day, your hair will feel non-oily, and clean but it will be controlled because of the 12 hours that you have given your hair some time to expose its shine

Thick hair?

i have really thick straight hair. i was thinking of having it thinned and get rid of the frizz.is there a type of scissors that can thin your hair?--i have medium length hair

Thick hair?

Hair stylists have special scissors for that sort of thing.

Thick hair?

the stylist deals with that.

Thick hair?

um i dont think they are scissors you can use a teenie blade, but dont do it urself or it may turn out to be a mess and you'll be upset it's worth getting it done at a salon.

Thick hair?

Razor scissors will thin the hair...but I highly suggest you have a trusted stylist do it...otherwise to a thick haired person it can feel as if you have lost lots of hair.

Thick hair?

YOU SHOULD GO TO THE SALON GET A PERM AND GET A WRAP.THAT WORKS BECAUSE IT WORKS FOR MY HAIR TO,BECAUSE MY HAIR IS THE SAME WAY.

Thick hair?

I get mine razored and they do it at the salon. I have really thick long hair and after it feels some much lighter.

Thick hair?

buy herbalensences rid of frizz orange bottle

Thick hair?

or you can wash your hair like crazy

Thick hair?

i dunno if women get the same thing as guys, but i have very thick hair as well, and so i always have them use thinning shears when i get it cut.

They look like normal scissors but instead of having two blades that come together to snip, one of the blades is specially formed so that it only cuts a small fraction of the hair in each snip, thus taking the bulk out of your hair.

so there are scissors, yes...but i haven't the slightest clue whether they work on women's hair or not.

Thick hair?

Yes. I don't know what they are exactly, but if you put in a search for something like 'thinning shears' or 'thinning scissors' it'll come up.

Thick hair?

yes, they are called thinning shears, if having hair thinned, you have to be very careful because if used wrong, you will loose alot of hair not just a few strands. also just have alittle done at first, lightly thinned at first to see if you like the change, because if you dont, it will take awhile for hair to grow back out or you will end up going shorter than you may want to go. so be careful and pick a good stylist. Barbers actualy usr thinning shears alot on mens styles,

Thick hair?

I have my hair thinned out every 6 weeks. It helps keep it from looking "bushy". But get a professional stylist to do it. I would not go to a "chop shop". A truely good haircut should atleast cost you more than $10.00.

Thick hair?

don't thin it, i have thin hair and i hate it. yes, maybe it never gets frizzy, but i wouold DIE for thick hair.

How do I side sweep my bangs? I have slightly thin hair and it's been a challenge. I need some

Well I Do My Hair Like That And I Part My Hair On The Side And Slightly Tease The Roots So They Will Stay Swept To The Side. Then Straighten Your Hair While Straightening Them To the Side

How do I side sweep my bangs? I have slightly thin hair and it's been a challenge. I need some pointers. thnx

do you have Beverlie's ?,if so then you can do it 1.first part your bang from the rest of your hair2. then bevel it in take a brush and swoop it to the side you want it on

I want to know where can i get hair extensions or voluminising spray to add volume for my thin hair?

Seriously, the best product for thin hair is not in a spray but in a little purple pump bottle. Put a bit of TiGi BedHead's Small Talk in your hair while its damp and blow dry. It smells great, leaves your hair feeling very soft and conditioned and your hair is REALLY pumped up afterwards. If you want a hair weave, go to any decent salon and they can hook you up... but the process of them sewing it in takes a long time and the braids underneath can be so tight they actually rip your hair out. The "fusion" extensions always end up looking piece-y and ridiculous. Glued in extensions can loosen up if you sweat a lot and they dont last past 2 washes... The best thing is to try to work w/ your own hair, or go to a qualified person for a nicely done sewn in weave.

Please go to the following web sight. It tells you what you need in order to have nice healthy and thick hair. I'm trying some of their suggestions to see if I can help my hair be a little thicker.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions.

I Need Help...My Hair Is Too Thin And Wont Grow!!!?

Lol, yes I know I'm a guy, but I think you need to wash it more maybe, or not take to much protein sometimes it can slow it down but I have long rock star hair (skater) and that's my plan :P.

I Need Help...My Hair Is Too Thin And Wont Grow!!!?

There are a couple of things you might need to do. It could be your water, try getting a shower filter for your shower head. Or you may need to take extra vitamins if you are not doing that yet. And exercise daily.

If all that fails there is always rogain for women it is a little expensive and once you start the shampoo you can not stop taking it.

Good luck!

I Need Help...My Hair Is Too Thin And Wont Grow!!!?

I know this is going to sound weird or like an old wives's tale but it's worked for others. I don't know how I found out about this, I've known for years. I have a friend that had the same problem. She followed my intructions and you should see her hair now. Others I've adviced on this have also had good results.

Purchase a fresh aloe vera leaf. You can find these at Hispanic grocers/mexican grocers. They go for about $1.50. If you're unfamiliar with it, it looks similar to a leaf from a pineapple plant- long and plump.

Split the leaf and scoop out the jelly/pulp inside. Blend the pulp in blender till smooth. Add 1/2 the mixture too 1/2 bottle of your shampoo and mix well. Put the other half in another bottle or container with cover. Once or twice a week (whenever you wash your hair) rub some of the pulp your scalp. Leave in for a few minutes. Shampoo with shampoo/pulp mixture, rinse well and condition. It's not an overnight miracle, so don't get discouraged. Do this until you see results. Good luck.

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

im asian and so i have thin straight hair. to tell the truth it already falls out a lot, but its kinda normal for me. right now i have black hair (naturally) but i am really determined to get blue streaks in my hair. im thinking of bleaching streaks in my hair and dyeing them blue with either blue color Raw or Manic Panic dyes. the only thing is that i heard that they bleed and wash out after a few showers and you have to reapply which kinda sucks. i dont know what to do. my mom is advising not to bleach my hair especially cuz she thinks it will all fall out. what is the best option for my hair??

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

Asians have a hard time bleaching hair

it normally takes about an hr to pop out of the orange stage and for most fine hair that is too much damage (hence why most asians have orange blonde not just blonde).

i woulnt use a manic panic or anything use a permanent blue dye (beauty supply store)

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

yea sure why not. i would suggest getting it bleached by a pro though.

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

find a really cool stylist to do it for you. you are less likely to have a bad experience, such as your hair falling out if you have someone do it. i say go for it!!

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

get it proffesionally done so it stays in longer.

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

Go to a salon and have them put blue streaks in your hair. Because, honestly, if you do it yourself it is going to be a disaster. Haha.

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

I know that the color does fade out in about a week but there are some better color dies out their so look around as far as your hair falling out i dont think it will.

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

yeah you can also get blue highlights but i would sugest diing it blue first

Can i bleach and color my hair blue?

yeah i think it.l work

i bleached my hair then dyed it purple

i used raw

but the problem with raw is that when you take a shower, the dye runs down your face and stains your skin that color

so i tihk you should go for it

but use manic panic :]

If you're wearing your hair in braids, is there any way 2 give the braids a little more body- i

Thanks : )

If you're wearing your hair in braids, is there any way 2 give the braids a little more body- i have thin hair

try a volume shampoo and conditioner then blow dry it with a round brush then curl it then braid it hope dis works

If you're wearing your hair in braids, is there any way 2 give the braids a little more body- i have thin hair

Curl ur hair before putting it in braids!

If you're wearing your hair in braids, is there any way 2 give the braids a little more body- i have thin hair

Sunsilk anti-flat.

Straightened hair?

i want straight hair but my mom wont let me get it permatley or just 4 a little while..and i dont want any bad chemicals in my hair and i hate stragihtenign my hair everynight=[.. im getitng a hair ciut soon could i ask the soalon person 2 thin my hair out or is there another way? =

Straightened hair?

|I suggest not getting it permanently straightened. My mom did that and it cost $300+ for her. It looked great at first. But after less than a month, you still had to straighten it so it doesn't look wavy. I have really thick hair and it gets on my nerves! But I've never done that. I just decided to stop straightening my hair. I bought this shampoo from Bed Head called Bed Head : Control Freak, and my hair already is pretty straight and manageable.

Straightened hair?

uhhhhhhh......y cant u straighten ur hair..........oooookkkk tas wierd!!!!!!!!1

Straightened hair?

don't thin your hair because it just gets even more thicker. trust me. this happened to my friend and my mom. ask the salon the different ways to get your hair straight. fast and easy. or if you don't like any of the options, flaunt what you have. i'm sure you'll be able to find a cute way to wear it.

Straightened hair?

Dont waste your money on getting it done permantley at the salon it doesn't work well.

I always have my thined and you can also buy straightening shampoo and conditionor and ever since I have used that my hair has been easier to straighten.

You may have to invest in a $80 straightener. with mine it only takes about 5 minutes 10 minutes tops!!!

Straightened hair?

i straiten my hair everday too.... i get sick of it but i have to do it or else my hair is freakin ugly!!! but yeah my mom cuts hairs and my hair gets way THICK so my mom thins it out and it cuts down my strating time SO much i would do that cause straitening perms sometimes dont come out right or they dont last long-- my sister got one in china and it only lasted like one week and she did everything right .... so i would just thin out my hair

STRAITENERS WORK WELL TOO but even though they're expensive (( make sure you get a good one @ a good trusted store- bad ones will ruin your hair)) they're way worth it like it takes me five min every day ( when im done i hairspray it and then i put serum in it helps the strait stay in and your hair doesnt get frizzies)

once you get your hair cut straighting will work so much more!!!!!

Straightened hair?

go to sally beauty! they have all of these people there to help you. they have some products that work and use some chemicals, but they do NOT damage your hair! also, ask your stylist! they should know of some products!

My hair flicks out?

When i straighten my hair (with my GHDS) I get a great poker straight look but around two hours later the ends of my hair are all flicked out how can i prevent thins, my hair is shoulder length and is medium thickness x

My hair flicks out?

its your shoulders sweety! you need to just grow it that little bit longer shoulder length hair is the worst for flicks hope i helped xx

My hair flicks out?

try using a good hairspray like the elnett i think.

My hair flicks out?

try using frizz eze

My hair flicks out?

I use a good leave-in conditioner for this same reason. try Aveda "Elixir." You can also use a hot flat iron after you blow dry your hair.

My hair flicks out?

try when u are straightening your hair stration in good luck xx

My hair flicks out?

this has nothing to do with hair....if your hair rest on shoulder, they would flick out.

next time you go to a good hair dresser and tell her about it.

when we cut hair we know how to cut hair to keep it straight , flickout or turn in, like pageboy.

all depends on haircut...every hairdresser will agree with me.

Hair loss.. HELP!?

hello ppl

My partner is in his mid 20s n he's jus losing hair.. his hairs thinning a lot and im scared he'll be going bald soon!!

he says its a genetic thing but its not really.. He's been using these natural figaro medications n shampoos n stuff that are supposed to be helping hair growth but i dont see a difference..

My hair is also thinning at the front.. but its not as serious as his.. but still id like a fuller head of hair!! and so is my mum by the way.. she's got so much less hair than she did when she was younger.. just wondering if anybody knows of any natural remedy or things we can do @ home to make all this hair grow back!

plz only suggest if ur sure.. we dont wanna go balder than we already are.. hahaha

Thanks

Hair loss.. HELP!?

One of principal causes of loss is shampoos containing harsh harmful ingredients and medicated shampoos only make the problem worse. They are also the cause of dandruff, premature graying, inhibited growth and many more problems. Washing hair too frequently removes beneficial natural oils and harms scalp also is a cause of loss. We are seeing a hair loss epidemic in both males and females and it楹搒 occurring at ever younger ages - as young as 14 and 15. I found this NATURAL, safe and low cost treatment that gives remarkable results - it stops the loss almost straight away. Scalp needs stimulation to clear blocked hair ducts, remove dead follicles so it can start producing strong, well anchored, thicker hair. Massage with natural oils, olive oil is excellent, and then brush vigorously (best with a short bristled palm held brush) so you feel it stimulating scalp (35 /45 strokes or more) preferably each day. A little shedding and some breakage occurs but only to begin with - quickly stops as hair gets anchored and stronger. Hair will grow faster, become thicker and It will also force new growth overtime (expect to see in about 2 months) My bald patch on the crown has completely regrown. Where it had receded at temples new growth was a slower process but I found, week by week, the hair line inched forward. (Initially the hairs are sparse then overtime become denser). Do at night and sleep with it that way and wash off in the morning (because of treatment - washing daily will not be detrimental). Keep up treatment and DON楹揟 BE AFRAID OF LOSING NEW GROWING HAIRS - THEY WILL RE-APPEAR EVEN STRONGER. Maintain a regular brushing and oiling routine and you will see even better results. Using this treatment you have to have patience and persevere day in day out but it truly works. .Also do a web search "Shampoos harmful?" MANY contain sodium laurel sulphate, sodium laureth sulphate and propylene glycol, all of which are harmful. First two are dangerous and both damage hair follicles and cause hair loss. They also harm eyes.- the eye stinging you get is telling you that. Fetuses subjected to these substances do not develop functioning eyes, and both can cause cataracts in adults. Propylene glycol another frequent ingredient and is a known skin irritant and is thought to cause mouth ulcers. It also damages the kidneys and liver. Do a web search for safe, non harming products for hair and skin. Balding tends to be genetic. My father, two younger brothers and some of their offspring all had severe hair loss problems, some became totally bald. I truly believe this treatment has saved me from the same fate.

Hair loss.. HELP!?

My best friend and my brother are suffering hair loss problems, the best way they solve their problems is to visit specialist, it's cost a fortune, but it's works. Make an appointment for consultation.

Hair loss.. HELP!?

Your partner being male and having it genetically has MPB (Male Pattern Baldness). Natural Figaro medication and shampoo are SCAMS. It doesn't work.

I would recommend he visit a doctor to check if he can take Propecia as it is the only thing that can stop hairloss. He can also use Minoxidil 5% to boost hair growth and use Nizoral 2% once or twice a week to stimulate the scalp.

Note that NOTHING else works only these three. But the most important one is the Propecia. (Durateride is still under testing). And he needs to take this as soon as possible as dead hair follicles DO NOT regrow hair.

Note that these meds are ONLY for men. Do not take them yourself. And note that there are some side effects and side effects do vary. For me, a lower sex drive is the only side effect i got and hair growth.

For you, it could be a vitamin deficiency. Check with your doc to make sure as for women, it is not common to lose hair since there is not enough testosterone to cause DHT (hair loss).

Hair loss.. HELP!?

One of the best exercise which can be done at anytime while travelling or sitting idle is to rub your nail of one hand with another hand nail.

Also you can contact swami ramdevji for further clarification by sarching his website. Today he is famous Yoga Guru and has taught yoga in uk, usa, india, south africa and continents.

Hair loss.. HELP!?

Don't panic.

I'd try a few vitamins such as Vitamin A and Biotin.

It's cheap, chemical free and by the way, people say that Propecia is based on Vitamin A.

Hair loss.. HELP!?

Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Since iron-deficiency anemia can also cause hair loss, make sure that you eat a well-balanced diet that includes a daily serving or two of iron-rich foods. Check out

Born with thick hair, now it's thin?

I had really thick hair when I was younger. But over the years, my hair has gotten thin. Are there any natural remedies or products that will make my hair thicker? I don't want it to look thick, I want it to be thick. I have naturally straight (I'm Asian), black, oily hair.

Born with thick hair, now it's thin?

Try the Panthenol Products, it's not a name, it's a vitamin shampoo ! i used it %26amp; my hair is thick,

%26amp; vitamins like Biotin , %26amp; Beta carotene, all the B-vitamins, are great for your hair.

Nick Chavez , on QVC has a body building shampoo system. that's good for you too.

But for the money, go to a health food store, %26amp; get a formula w/panthenol,

or go to Puritans Pride .com , they've got one too.

Born with thick hair, now it's thin?

keratin powder at Sallys you can add it to your shampoo...this makes hair look thicker

Born with thick hair, now it's thin?

Head massages with oil and taking hair growth pills.

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

Hi, after i come out of the shower, i usually put cream in my hair so it doesnt burn while straightning, then i put my hair in a bun and go to sleep...i wake up and then my hair is a frizz ball and then i straighten it...ever day it seems to be getting thinner and thinner..My hair used to be beautiful and thick, and now its thin...even after i blow dry it, it still comes puffy...so after i get out of the shower, instead of putting it in a bun or letting it self dry, what should i doo????

OR, is there any good cream or spray that actually doesnt ruin your hair at all???

thanks!

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

umm i think that straightening ur hair everyday is damaging your hair right now. if u put it in a bun, wouldnt the straigtening have no effect because ur wrapping it around in a ball?

For frizz control, i suggest herbal essences "none of your frizzness" hair care, or any of sunsilk's products.

well what did u do before when your hair was thick?

maybe it's a sudden change?

BLOW DRYING is BAD for your hair. (it damages it)u should towel-dry and be patient. apply your cream but dont over-do it on the straightening.

%26gt;%26gt;Hope i helped!!^^

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

I have the same problem. What I do, is I scrunch my hair with a towel, but I don't twist it up into a towel (it makes it frizzy), then I put into into a braid and let it dry until its still kinda wet but mostly dry. Then, I shake it and let it dry by its self the rest. This helps it be less frizzy and puffy!

Hope this helps ;)

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

it could be a medical issue so id deffienetely go to a doctor and let them know whats going on with oyur hair, could be a thyroid problem, nothing serious and it can be treated very easily. or it could be that your hair is overly dry, try a good conditioning treatment like aussie 3 minute deeeeep or something else like that. and some people might say your losing hair because of using a straightener but that is not true at all, my friend and i both use straighteners and we still have all of our hair! good luck, i hope you find out what going on!

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

you should get a deep conditioner put on and quit styling it for a while, give your hair a break, it sounds like it needs it

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

you could sprunch it using Aussie's Sprunch Spray, braid it, blow-dry it, put it in bed-curlers before you go to bed, or just let it air-dry down.

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

I dont' have enough infor about your hair, but I bit it and shelled out $35 for a cut with a good stylist. I told her I didn't have a ton of money to invest in a bunch of products they always want to sell and she gave me some suggestions using products from the drug store. My hair looks great!

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

i would stop doing that if i were you...obviously you see a pattern happening...my hair is really thick and all i do is let it air dry after i wash it...if i have no time to wait for it to air dry...i'll let it air dry half way then put baby oil in it or cream or whatever to protect it then blow dry it and go to sleep. in the morning i straighten it and there's absolutely no frizz or anything. so try out different methods...if what you're doing now is making it thinner and thinner i would stop and try something new. tip: do what you did back when your hair was thick.

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

Either blow dry and straighten your hair after you shower, or don't straighten your hair as much. Straightening damages your hair and that may be why it is becomming so thin. Sunsilk has different products that can help your hair achieve volume without being poofy. If you go to their site you can request a free sample to see how it works with you hair. www.gethairapy.com

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

go to the hairdresser, cause u need a cut to yout hair, i'm sure u ruin your hair, u like burn u'r hair, and now u have alot of splitends, just go to your hairdresser, tell her to check your hair, and if u need a trim or a cut, do it and and use a shampoo and a conditioner for damage hair, cause it's a little bit dameged and make treatment to u'r hair once in a week untill your hair loose u'r frizzness.

NB. QUITE ALL SPRAYS THAT WE USE ARE NOT GOOD FOR US, JUST WASH YOUR HAIR WITH HERBAL SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER, AND USE A TREATMENT, UCAN MAKE IT EASILY AT HOME, JUST PUT IT ON U'R HAIR LEAVE FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND THEN RINSE WELL, AND U WILL SEE THE DIFFERENCE. I SUGGEST THAT U UESE BAN DE TERRE PRODUCTS CAUSE ARE REALLY GOOD FOR THE CONDITIONER USE THE CUCUMBER CONDITION.

HOPE IT HELPS!!!

IF U'R NOT SURE GO TO THE PROFESSIONAL PERSONS, DON'T STAY ON US!!!

What should i do with my hair after i come out of the shower?

Other alternatives to explore:

If you're not in a hair-hostile environment (i.e. chlorinated swimming pool guard), you may not need to wash your hair every single day. Wear a shower cap when you shower.

Alternate hair styles so you don't need to straighten every day.

Pinning up in a bun when wet puts more stress on the roots as the hair dries. This may contribute to the thinning.

Yes, there are products that don't ruin your hair at all. Most of them are foodstuffs from the supermarket. Some of them you eat (good diet) and some are topical applications and some are both. Each in it's proper place is useful: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, mayonnaise, honey.
