Any tips on how to give your hair volume??!!?

ok so i got this choppy hair cut that has alot of layers [short at the top] and the bottom its longish [like tails.?] and soo i wan to give it volume to make it look full cuz i have really thin hair but without it dying out the next hour.

any tips or how to's???

take a comb and rat it at the base, then take some hair spray and spray it at the base where you ratted it. Then wrap you hair around the can of the hair spray and hold it there for a couple of seconds.

Use some light mousse. Turn your head upside down and apply the mousse from the roots while the hair is still damp. It will dry with volume and shine

Take a good hair mouse and use about a quarter size ball of it and massage into top roots of hair and on outside peices. Then take a 1in curling iron and clamp it at the top and front roots of your hair(dont bother curling the ends). Then take random sized peices and curl them all the way out with a straightner, after you do that run hands through hair and shake your hair out gently until the hair is voulumized out evenly then spray a light mist of oil sheen on it to give it a finished polished look

Put John Freida Volumizing Mousse in your hair, then blow dry your head upside down. Then buy some volumizing hairspray. I use Herbal Essences Body Envy. Spray everywhere that you would like to be volumized. Then blowdry again with your head upside down. Then hairspray all over to keep everything in place for the day. :]

also i think there is this shampoo that gives ur hair volume.... my mom uses it
