Okay, ladies (possibly gentlemen too) here is the deal. My hair is a cross between blonde and brown, shoulder length and really poofy. I get so jealous of those girls that have thin nice hair and which stays in place and doesn't bug them. Hereare pics of hair I like. This is what I am talking about.

i like those two pictures...those hairstyles are adorable! well you obviously have good taste, and that's a start. i suggest you get a slightly layered cut and use "dangerously straight" shampoo or another straightening shampoo. then straighten it with a straightener after using that. if that doesn't work than i'd look into getting it proffessionally straightened. also, "bed-head" anti-frizz and styling spray products work very well.
good luck with this and i hope this helps! :-)

You are definitely looking at layered cuts. It would work for your hair bythinning it out and getting out a lot of the unmanageable fizz, but without a blow dryer it would not stay straight.

The second one has ADORABLE hair!!! =] Take that picture to your hairstylist and tell her you want it like that. My hair is thick also... Use a good shampoo and conditioner and Neutrogena Frizz Control or Aussie. IT WORKS WONDERS! My hair gets so flat (which is good when you have poof) and straight and looks great! Also you could ask your hairstylist to thin it out, that's what I did. =]]]

well, your defintely talking about a few hundreds of dollars going to the salon because they need to probally thin your hair out because its wavy %26amp; they would probally give you a layered look %26amp; they have some shine spray you could buy to make it look shiny %26amp; beautiful! of course thats what I use. I have naturally straight hair, but since i got it layered shouldner length its got some waves on the bottom. but, yeah its gonna look so cute! have fun :)

First of all, you shouldn't get jealous of other girls, they might be jealous of what you have but don't notice.
I totally understand how you're feeling, you're insecure about your hair lol.
but if your hair is poofy and thick, heres some tips:
STRAIGHTENING:
-wash hair with shampoo/conditioner. Always use conditioner so your hairstyle stays good.
-pat hair dry with towel but leave hair still wet.
-blow dry hair until every strand of hair is completely dry
-divide hair into sections, start flat ironing.
-apply Tresemme non-frizz hair product you can get at drugstores for 4 dollars.
the key to control those nasty flyaways and poffiness is a non-frizz hair product.
use this product:

i've been using it for three months now and wheneve ri straighten my hair, i use this spray and it totally works! But also remember that conditioner is important too

Get a perm, hair weave, have it colored to even color or just be happy and make the best of it like it is. Do you blow dry? Is your hair damaged? There could be a lot of reasons that your hair is unmanageable, whatever, you will have to experiment with different products. Try using conditioners that tame frizz, invest in some "flat irons" to straighten, and a light application of holding spray to keep it in place. Nexus and Nioxin make good products. Nioxin can be bought at JC Penney. Would be best to just get it done professionally, that way it's done right, and you won't have to worry about it and the links you gave, those models had professional hair stylists.
