I have what stylists call "overly curly hair" and its super thick. I have 2 questions.

1. Would it be a bad idea to get my hair thinned?

2. Do you know any good styles for my hair

Try a relaxer. Get mild. It will straighten your hair. Go to a black hair salon and ask for a very mild relaxer.

I can identify! Stylists have told me that I have the waviest most thick hair they've ever seen in their life! For me to make my hair look thinner, I get my hair layered with a razor. Make sure to ask for them to razor the ends! I also have a CHI Straightener. They're INCREDIBLY expensive(like, $85 on amazon.com), but they work WONDERS! It makes my hair appear flat! It could never work that way before! It makes it looks thin and flat and soft, which I love!

Ok you are the only person I know that hates thick hair! But with that said stay away from relaxers! The same chemicals used to unclog drains are the same kind of chemicals in relaxers.
