My baby's hair is getting thinner, will it be like this or will it grow back thicker?

my baby was born with a thick set of hairs. he is now nearly 4 months old and he has been constantly loosing hair. i know that it is normal for babies to loose their baby hair and for it to grow back, but does anyone know if it will grow back thicker, thinner, no change or depends from baby to baby in comparison to their hair when they were just born? thanks.

Most babies will lose their hair around 3-4 months. The good news is it will grow back in a couple of months. My two boys grew thicker hair after the falling out stage.

My daughter was born with hair (but very lil) she started to lose this and was nearly bald and she looked like a boy, but now its slowly but surely growing back, its growing thicker and darker, she still dont have loads and shes 5mnths...it will get ther

I'm going thru the same thing right now! My son was born with a head full of hair and now he looks like he has a toupee on, lol... But I can tell that he's getting new hair in at the same time - and his new hair seems to have reddish highlights....

Don't worry, it's normal!

My mom told me when I was a baby, I lost my hair as well - I was born with thin, black hair... And I ended up getting thick, brown hair! I think that I depends on the baby though...

My daughter had a full head of hair when she was born and then she kept loosing it, she is now 1 and its so fine and like white blonde and I can get it into pig tails but she looks like pebbles lol.

Your baby's hair will grow back and get thicker as he/she gets older.

My daughter was born with a huge mop of dark hair, then gradually from about 2months it fell out and by about 4months she had nothing but a few light wisps!

Gradually over a cpl of months it grew back, altho a lot thinner and fairer, gradually thickening up to a normal head of hair again by about 7months old.

Now aged 5 she has the longest and thickest hair you ever seen!

it all depends on his genetic make-up.
