I had extensions in the side because of a bad chopped up short cut due to bad chemical damage from a straightener (chemical straightener). I got the extensions out yesterday, and the sides are a tad longer but seem so thin and soft and fuzzy. My curl is growing back in and my newly found stylist who is the only one I will trust now said that there is still about an inch to and inch and a half of that old fuzzy straightener damage. Okay.....Help me get my hair on the right track now.?
Hi girly-girl...sometimes the best thing to do is to just cut it off and start all over again. I didn't have a bad relaxer experience but I did make a decision to stop relaxing and so after after transitioning for about 6 months, I cut all of the relaxed ends off. That was two years ago. I still don't relax my hair, but when stretched, my curly hair is past my shoulders. To help my hair grow faster, I take biotin daily. It's great stuff. My hair is EXTREMELY thick and healthy. If you need some support in your hair decisions, take a look at sites like nappturality.com or motowngirl.com. You can also view lots of hair journals at fotki.com. Here's a link to my fotki account: http://public.fotki.com/btrfli1172/. Take a look at my about me section and there are links to other ladies who have either voluntarily or involuntarily done the BC (big chop). I think it may help you!
