Hair loss?

I'm 15 and about a year or two ago I started losing a lot of hair, like after i'd take a shower or even after brushing hair i could just pull out like 20 strands of hair. my hair is really thick, and i dont see any signs of my hair thinning or anything but is there any way to prevent it? i also got a trim of 1 1/2 inches and it didnt help..thank you in advance

If this has happened continuously (w/o stopping) then go see your doctor. If it's a once in a while thing, then it's probably not as big a deal. Every year around August (when school starts) I get really stressed out and my hair falls out a lot for a month, and then it stops. But it might be a more serious medical problem for you so your best bet is to see a doctor.

my hair is that way too. i'm sure there's nothing wrong with you. we have sooo many hairs on our head its not even funny

go the doctor.

there could be underlying reasons for your hair loss. i always had really thick hair, and i mean REALLY thick. it was so thick it was unmanageable. when i was about 17 it started to fall out, slowly at first and because it was so thick i didnt really notice it.

now im 24 and i have lost about 60% of my hair and you can see my scalp. its too late to do anything about it because the hair follicles are dead. after consultations with the doctor, specialist, chinese herbal doctor etc i have established it was due to stress (really bad relationship and breakup).

it may be nothing but you dont want to risk just allowing it to happen then one day you realise its got really bad but its too late to fix it. hair is something that you dont realise what you got till its gone and i wish i had got help for mine sooner

Maybe you're brushing too hard or have a lot on your mind. For me, I have naturally thick curly hair and when I come my hair I get out a LOT of hair too-but thats cuz I have a lot of hair. You might wanna check with a your doctor or hairdresser and see if they can help you. Besides, on the Internet I read thats it normal to lose hair everyday, you're supposed to.

Hope this helps!
